yes, why wouldn't I? Unless there is a good reason I think everyone should be given a chance.

Possibly. I would have to see their activity and as Lotr crown said, have them send it first.

As the others have already said, I would not decline a trade simply because a member is new to the site. It hardly seems fair to be honest, and if you are a bit suspicious, have them send theirs first as Matthew said.

Sorry for replying to this late, I've only just entered into the trading scene recently. I'm just not that comfortable with postal trading, Call me paranoid, if it's not a problem with the person on the other end, there can also be a postal problem, or the worry that my postage didn't reach the recopient. Basically the question of reliability.

It's bad enough that I have trust issues with mail post trading, I don't want to be trading with an unknown on top of it, though if a new member has something I want I would likely be tempted yet cautious. I put NO because of this paranoia of a small possibility that some douche can just come up in here, put up a fake list, get some honest member to mail his stash, and then the guy disappears and is never heard from again.

At least when you're trading with a regular member, although relatively a stranger across the planet, there's more trust. A dedicated poster is less likely to ruin his reputation on the boards by screwing someone over in a trade. When I look at trading lists of regular posters, I take it more seriously.

I would not trade with someone whom I could not check feedback from previous trades and was new to the site with no background at all tho a fair point has been made by allowing the new member to post 1st and then posting theirs upon reciept.

Over the last few years I've enjoyed some great trades with people all over the world. However I've had a couple of bad experiences that made me wary.

Since then though I have traded with new members/members without trade feedback and as suggested asked them to post first. It's worked really well.

So my answer is it depends if they are willing to post first.
