Ok. In a major resurgence of SBG at the Chicago Bunker there is a 350 point tournament tomorrow. I'm debating on what army to take for this one. I've made up 4 lists that I'm going to be choosing from.

List 1: Tower of Ecthelion

Minas Tirith Cap: Shield: 55 points
7 Citadel Guard with Bow: 70 points
Minas Tirith Banner: 32 points
7 Minas Tirith Warriors w Shield: 56 points
7 Minas Tirith Warriors w Spear and Shield: 63 points
5 Minas Tirith Knights w Shields: 70 points

346 points: 2 Might, 28 models, 7 elf bows


List 2: Fiefdoms: Note for this list. I do not own any Men at Arms of Dol Amroth and WILL not own any unless GW comes out with them in plastic or I get them in a trade somewhere. I refuse to pay the Metal prices for them.

Foot Captain of Dol Amroth w Shield: 55 points

3 Clansmen of Lamedon: 24 points
4 Mounted Knights of Dol Amroth w lances: 76 points

List 3: Khazad Dum

2 Vault Warden Teams: 50 points
8 Warriors w Bows: 72 points

349 points: 2 Might, 26 models, 8 Dwarf Bows

List 4: Grey Company

6 Dunedain w spears: 150 points
8 Rangers of Arnor w Spears: 72 points
16 Rangers of Arnor: 128 points

350 points: 6 Might, 30 bows

Right now I'm leaning towards either list 1 or list 3. List 4 I made just because I have the models and could be silly.

Personally I would take:
Gimli
10 Iron Guard
7 Dwarf ranger w/ throwing weapons
8 Dwarf Ranger w/ bow
3 might, 26 models, 8 bows, 7 throwing weapons and i think its 350 pts but just did calculations of the top of my head.

Other than that I like List 1 the best.

comes in at 350pts maybe if you prefer hard hitting forces take out the archers and put in some irn guard/khazad

For the fiefdoms one consider dropping the captain and banner and getting Imrahil. For dwarves you could try this:

Gimli
30 dwarves (10 w/ bow, shield, and 2-hander)

31 units
3 might
volley fire
rock hard hero

Or you could go with more elites and try something like this:
Balin
8 dwarf w/ bow
13 khazad
4 iron

26 units
3 might
(no volley fire)
4 mini captains (iron guard)

Both lists are 350 exactly.
It might help if you tell us what units you have for the armies. ex. "1 box dwarf warriors, command set, 2 vault wardens."

On my dwarves, I have 3500 in war of the ring points of dwarves.

about 4-5 captains
6 banners
2 Shieldbearers
4 boxes worth of dwarf warriors (with 4 axe and shield converted to musicians)
2 boxes worth of dwarf rangers
22 khazad guard
22 iron guard
8 Vault Warden Teams
4 Ballistas
and a partridge in a pear tree.

My gondor is similiarly insane though I don't have all the named characters in forms that are useful. It fills 3 small GW cases with about a layer worth of double packed. Then 24 regular gondor knights, 24 dol amroth knights (half metal, half plastic) 28 Foot Knights of DA. I think 4 companies worth of Army of the Dead. 6 Riders of the dead with a converted banner.

Not a SINGLE Evil figure in my collection. I = goody two shoes.
