Yea, they look good (damn... I've got to get mine painted... Let's hope they'll be better then the firts and only Uruk scout I've painted -ever seen a pure red orc who's clothes have the same colour as his face ?-)
I'm just not sure about the blood on the sword.

Nice looking building. IMO, don't glue the roof on. If you keep it loose then you put models in their without difficulty.

I made lots of windows and big ones to deal with that problem. I thought it would work. I tried it on a figure b4. But now you said this. I think it might be indeed better to not glue the roof on :) . But what do i gotta do then with the second floor?

I don't think you can do another floor with the size of the windows. It will mean the floor is halfway up the window and that wont look right.

How about filling the void with something hanging from the roof - maybe something like a candelabra or a Gondorian banner. That would at least give it a more realistic look

Now that I have re-checked I see that this is the top floor - you may wish to forget what I've said or it may give you an idea for a touch of uniqueness...

a banner hmm nice suggestion. Could have been nice, but i think i had to close one side of the wall then. I just finished the second floor (the basics) when i read this. And yes it was the top floor you saw- considering the roof ;) . Ah well - i ll post the progress later. Dad borrowed the cam. I probably work again on it next week.
This weekend i got reserved for my comic.

Perhaps you could fit the banner on one of the lower floors. It would give the building a different look.

i worked a bit further today Image still gotta glue the walls tough. And then i need to think about what to do , glue the floors or find something what makes me able to separate them. I am thinking about gluing tough. Only the roof can be lose i think. it would just be handy if it was glued for the ladders..

I think you should glue it.The windows seem large enough to easily place figures inside. I don't see any reason not to glue the roof on as well. It will be much easier to paint the inside first. I recall that was part of the plain from the start. It looks good and will make a nice addition to your terrain set.
I like the barrier as well. Do you plain to make a fence like you did with the Hobbit house?

nice job :)

Maybe you should fill in the gaps between the tower and the half foam ball thing (how do you call it ?) with some putty, moddeling clay etc. As well as the gaps between two floor sections and the place where the walls meet eatch other.

@donuthare: yeah i could make some of those , but i am going to make the basics first :) B4 that. I still need to make some wooden floors.
@Oldman Willow: Yeah i actually used big windows from the first place so i could glue. Well indeed gluing might be 4 the best. And if i do the floors i can do the roof as well. It would be pointless to leave only that one not attached. Of course i ll paint the inside first. I already done the upper floor and inside walls. I actually wanted to limited my terrain set because it takes in to much space. But i just can't let it be. It's fun to make something now and then. The fence is actually a rocky wall with bronze pikes on it. I thought to put on a picture of the finished version. But actually it's a bit like the cave i made. And some sand on the bottom. So nothing special.
@Raggbur: Yes maybe i should fill up the gasps. I thought to let it be like this at first place. Maybe i have been a bit lazy :D.
@all: ty for comments, suggestions and hints.

Looking pretty cool so far. I would say to glue only the middle floor to the bottom: that way you can change the tower's height a bit :D

As for tips on the model: Consider cutting out some rectangular brick-shapes from card and dotting them about (or go crazy and cover it in them, lol).

How about a little detail to give some life. I was thinking along the lines of small carvings / ornate leadwork (something like a curve) at each corner of each floor. A lot of buildings of these type incorporated them into the design.
Maybe a torch at each side of the entrance arch and one or two the inside of each floor ?

I finished painting and put in the ladders Image
Now just small things to give it some life like you said Gandalf the Grey. Torches would seem fine to me. I also thought of making a bowl on a chain in the upper room witch can be light with fire or a bell.
