I'll try to update this as much as possible.

To start you off...
Eärnur, King of Gondor: 75 pnts
M/W/F
3/2/1
F 6
S 4
D 6
A 2
W 2
C 5
Wargear: Heavy Armour and sword
Horse 10 pnts
Special rules:
Champion Eärnur is a brilliant duellist, but he is hot-headed and maybe not the best leader in the world. Eärnur gets +1 Fight and +1 Attacks whenever fighting an enemy Hero, but has a Standfast! of only 8 cm.

Forgive me for my possible ignorance, i need to brush up on my LOTR history, but are these Stewards or Kings or something?

Very nice profiles with some good special rules which aren't overpowered, i particularly like the first profile and the stats seem fairly resonable in relation to the points cost.

Well im the only person to comment here but, i say: Lets see some more!

Also, i think we should maybe start a continous thread where people post their house profiles, it would make good reading for a start.

They are both kings of Gondor-after one of the kings died without an heir, the Gondorian nobles 'elected' Eärnil II king. Eärnil was his son, but when the Witch-King challenged him to a duel to the death at Minas Morgul for a second time, he went and was captured and presumably was tortured to death. Since nobody could prove that he was dead, the rule passed to the Stewards.

Arveleb: 80 pnts:
M/W/F
3/2/0
F 5
S 4
D 7
A 2
W 2
C 5
Wargear: Sword, Shield and Heavy Armour
Special Rules:
The Initiative If Arveleb calls a Heroic Action, roll a dice. If the result is 4 or more, it is for free (no might point expenditure).

All three look like well balanced, interesting heroes. Have you tried out any of them?

I have an idea for Earnil, which you may or may not be interested in. How about changing his Brilliant Leader special rule slightly:

Brilliant Leader Eärnil is a cunning and intelligent leader. To Represent this, he has a Standfast! of 28 cm. In addition, any Heroic Moves called are extended to 28cm, instead of 14cm.

Good idea General Elessar, but I think I'll save that rule for some one else.
I haven't playtested any of these (although I'm going to do it for today's one)
so if any one wants to do it, please inform me of the out come and any suggestions.

Arveleg: 75 pnts
M/W/F
3/3/0
F 5
S 4
D 6
A 2
W 2
C 5
Special Rules
The Palantir of Amon Sul Arveleg wields this powerful artefact. He can use his Will like might, but only for priority rolls.

Happy Birthday!

I like your rules for Helm without wargear. I can picture him running around punching orcs in the face!

He's got 4 will to represent his rage and fierceness. Do you think I should drop to 3?

Yep. There is any hero with over 3 Will who doesn't have magic.

I like that Helm is unarmed. With Courage 6 though, he doesn't need all that Will. And I don't like the free Fate thing. How about this?

M/W/F = 3/2/2
Attacks 2
Wargear: unarmed, but wears armour.
(everything else the same)

Special rule: the Hammerhand. Helm is extremely strong. If he carries a hand weapon he gets +1 to wound. If he is unarmed, not using a shield, wearing no more than normal armour, and on foot, Helm does not suffer the usual -1 to his Fight roll, and his attacks are increased to 3.

Points: 80 points

BTW, an armoured horse is 15 points, not 10.

Hey, do you mind if we use the Helm profile for our By the Book project?

I've taken your points into account whafrog, and changed him a bit. The armoured horse is 10 pnts because all of his equipment options are dropped by 5 pnts. Sure, you can use his profile if you want to, I'm flattered.

Not to be confused with the Lieutenant of Amon Barad:

Cirion, Steward of Gondor: 75 pnts
M/W/F
3/2/2
F 5
S 4
D 6
A 2
W 2
C 5
Wargear: Armour and Shield
Heavy Armour 5 pnts
Special rules: Aid of the North-men If Eorl the Young is included in your army, he may use Cirion's Might as his own.
