I just got ahold of the War of the Ring book and wow, it sure is sweet! I have a question though. The book shows the Hobbit Archers as being equipped with a bow. Is it really a bow? I thought a little Hobbit would most likely be wielding a shortbow. If they're really wielding regular bows, I may need to get ahold of some and bring them in as allies to use with my Dwarves; they would be as effective as my Dwarf Rangers when using the bows but for a much lower point cost. Of course, I would want to keep them out of melee combat where if you sneeze on them they'd die, lol!

Yes it really is a bow. They are as cheap points wise and for the same amount of shots as an elven archer company whilst only losing range I would take them with my dwarves if I had the models.

Too good to be true? I guess not. I read it as being Bows but just wanted to get others input. Guess I'll be Hobbit shopping!
