Hmmm....I misunderstood, then. Unfortunately, I hardly ever play SBG and the nearest Games Workshop store is three hours away. (I live in the country. I've only ever played three games, all of which were on my very rare trips to the GW store.)

Maybe I could do some research on the history of Khazad-Dum.

Still got the headache and the usual things so, the guide isn't finished yet.
I think i can finish it friday because I don't have homework for that day and only a few hours of school. (some stupid introduction two weeks after the school has started.) :?
Perhaps I can also split the history in three then.

I can't give any comments on the scenario as I barely play.(I'm my only opponent or I should go to leeuwarden but I don't have the time)

And if you make a scenario with my terrain remember it's ment as just a throne and not balin's.
As that one was in the chamber of mazarabul.(much smaller room).

@radagistbird: thanks for the feedback^^ another scenario is coming soon but since my computer craches a day ago it delays:/ *slaps the computer* i hope you enjoy playing the scenario^^

I have good news and bad news..........

The good news is I don't have the mexican flu. :)

The bad news is that the paint guide is exactly where it was one week ago. :(
This is because of a lot of homework, headaches, illness and lot's of other things that have to be done or getting rid of. (and of course my lazyness  )
I'll try to finish i this weekend but I said the same a week ago  .

Sometime very soon I'll present you all with a compendium of other gaming material focussing on the history of Khazad Dum and the dwarven people as written by various Tolkienic scholars such as Chris Seeman.

It's taking a bit longer than I wanted, courtesy of real life, but its coming.

As I said to "Radagastbird" there's no need to reinvent the wheel.

Guide is nearly finished but thanks to homework, illness and .... bad weather I couldn't finish it entirely. :(
It will be finished somewhere this week.
thanks for the patience.

hi all
i got some updates:
bad news: my computer crashed so im a bit delayed with making scenario's
good news: i've made 2scenario's on paper^^

more good news:
because my computer crached i was thinking, hm hm we need a back up or something so our files wont get lost!
so here's the solution: dropbox
this progamm works like a back up, but with some special stuff.
-back up online and on your computer(and you can download your files to the computer)
-sharing(this function is really handy), cause when i upload a file, you can see it too(if i choose to share it with you)

so if anyone is considering in using this progamm, send me a pm with your emailadress and i will add you to the sharing^^
also, for any questions pm me

and of course, you can upload your stuff too, so all the work is in one place
i hope you give it a try

other news:
has anyone experience with playing the balrog? cause i dont have any, and well campaign1 includes the balrog(and i want to make all the scenario's balanced, but i've never played with the balrog so thats a problem)
in other words: if someone want to creat campaign1 your welcome! (i'll start to work on campaign2 if i've finished campaign3(which will be soon))

i got my pc back!
so i typed here scenario 4, hope you like it an feel free to comment and testplay it (im typing scenario 5 at the moment so it will be ready in a few hours or a day)

Scenario 4: Victory is upon us

Description:
After many days of battle the dwarfs managed to smash through many goblins. When the dwarfs are almost exhausted from fighting, the hope of reclaiming the kingdom keeps them going. The dwarfs see the beauty and the damage of all the lost halls which they’re claiming. But when they come to the lair of the Goblin King they get more resistence then expected. What will the outcome be of the fight between the two kings: Balin and the Goblin King?

Historical participants:

Good:
Balin
Óin
Ori with book of Mazarbul
Frár
Lóni
Náli
1 Dwarf warrior with banner
8 Dwarf warriors with shield
8 Dwarf warriors with bow
8 Dwarf warriors with two-handed weapon
5 Khazâd Guards
4 Dwarf rangesr with dwarven longbow
4 Dwarf rangers with throwing axes
4 Dwarf rangers with two-handed weapon

Evil:
Durbûrz, the Goblin King
2 Goblin captains
2 Goblin Shamans
16 Goblins with shield
16 Goblins with bow
16 Goblins with spear
3 Goblin Prowlers with two-handed weapon
1 Cave troll
1 Drum with 2 drummers
1 Bat swarm
2 Giant spiders

Lay-out & Deployment:
This battle takes place in the 21st hall where the Goblin king is settled. The lair of the Goblin king is in the East side of the board. The evil deployment zone is around the lair.
The Good side deploys at the western side of the board. The board is covert with small stones.
Image

Objectives:
The Good Side wins if they kill the Goblin King and destroy the Drum.
The Evil Side wins if they reduce the Good Side to 25%
It’s a draw if both objectives are achieved at the end of the same turn.

Special rules:
Lair of the Goblin King: Every goblin within 12 cm of the liar counts as being in range of a banner.

Point match:
The Good Side selects 750 points from the Moria Expedition list.
The Evil Side selects 750 points from the Moria and Dweller belows list, but it must contain Durbûrz and the goblin drum.

and as you can see, im not that great in making lay-outs for the maps, so if someone could remake them, it would be appreciated!

tadaa, the next scenario. someway i really like this one. i guess its the counter collecting stuff, so it really depends on against who you play and what he/she will do with the counters, so every game is really diffirent in my opinion. but if you have some stuff that could be better, just say it!

Scenario 5 : The Search in the Third Deeps

Description:
After the Dwarfs settled in the twenty-first hall, they could use a little upgrade in armories and weapons. So they send out Óin with some other dwarfs to investigate the Third Deeps. In the Third Deeps are all the forgotten treasures of the first kingdom of Khazad-dum. When the fellow dwarfs arrive they see some goblins guarding their armories!

Participants:
Good:
Óin
8 Dwarf warriors with shield
8 Dwarf warriors with bow
8 Dwarf warriors with two-handed weapon

Evil:
1 Goblin Captain
1 Goblin Shaman
12 Goblins with bow
12 Goblins with spear
12 Goblins with shield

Lay-out and deployments:
The board is 112 by 112 cm with some rocks and pillars. The dwarfs deploy within 14cm from the southern edge. The goblins deploy within 14cm from the northern edge.
Before the game begins the evil side put 3 counters within 42cm of the northern edge. The good side also put 3 counters within 42cm of the edge
See the special rules for counters.

Objectives:
The dwarfs need to pick up a counter and bring it to the southern edge. If a counter gets in the good deployments zone the counter counts as collected.

Good victory: 5-6 counters collected (by the dwarfs)
Draw: 3-4 counters collected (by the dwarfs)
Evil Victory: 0-2 counters collected (by the dwarfs)

Special rules:
Counters:
-Counters represent armories and weapons
-If somebody picks up a counter, he gets -1Fight(to represent he's holding something).
-But someone who's holding a counter can move at full speed.
-Good or Evil can pick up counters.
-If someone is slain while holding a counter, that counter is placed on the place where he's killed.

Point match:
The Good side selects 275 points from the Moria Expedition list.
The Evil side selects 275 points from the Moria and Dwellers below lists

Good to hear your pc is working.
I can't say much about the scenario as I don't play (yet).

About the maps, I would love to make those( if I can find a last alliance article) but it's still a month or so until my next holliday.
I've send the article to radagastbird for proofreading but it could take some time as he was quite busy with school.
If I've done everyting alright than you and Radagastbird will receive an E-mail from dropbox with an invitation.

Edit: just after submitting this post I got your invitation from dropbox. :? :-D

Thank you Eaothaen, the more information we have to choose from the better :-D
