Watch out for The Battleshop

Further to my postings on another thread, I complained to paypal about the Battleshop as i STILL havent received my Galadrims. They have just emailed to say:

Dear XXXXXXXX

After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the Buyer
Complaint described below.

We have decided in your favour, however, we were unable to recover any
funds from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement,
recovery of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

Please know that we will make our best effort to recover the funds in
question if they become available in the seller's account in the future,
and will take appropriate action against the seller. Such action may
include issuing a warning, a temporary restriction, or terminating the
account. Keep in mind that PayPal uses a number of factors, including
member complaints, to determine when to take action. Due to privacy laws,
we cannot discuss the details of any action taken. We hope you understand
our policy and that it reassures you that you are safe using PayPal.

shame really, they looked good at a glance

their website still isn't working either :roll:

I also agree and say stay away.

sticking with maelstrom for now.

yeah, i feared the worst when the site went down.

My guess - based on some other comments elsewhere - is that they had no stock, but just ordered from GW when they needed stuff (bit like 'just in time' stock control). Their ebay shop has gone, so maybe GW pulled the plug on their credit or something.

hopefully.

they introduced a special offer for OR members, i hope everyone who took advantage of that got everything they ordered.

since they broke down their orders alot anyway. people may have only got bitz and bobs :shock:

yeah, looking around a few forums there's definitely a pattern emerging. It would appear that their stock was coming straight from GW in response to whatever orders they were getting. When i was checking my emails for a telephone number, i found an email back in Feb from when i ordered some stuff from them on ebay - they had it listed and then they said they no longer had it

I had a similar experience 4 years ago with another webstore. Unfortunately my order never materialised. So now I am a lot more cautious when making purchases.
