Well, second part of the order arrived today.

Post-dated 6 days AFTER the email that told me it had been sent separately.

Also, kinda strange that it didn't come in the standard packaging, but rather a plastic tray in a plain white Citadel box.

And I think the postman had had his thumb through it. No contents damage though.

eh? whats all that about then? :S

Wild conjecture, but it would suggest that it wasn't actually in stock and they had to very quickly order one in direct from GW...

If it told you it wasn't in stock when you ordered it, then fair enough.

If it told you it was in stock then they lied, they are pretty badly organised in fairness if they don't actually know what stock they have.

which was it?

I'm pretty sure it was in stock when I ordered it. And the email from the warehouse team would have me believe this is true.

However, I just checked, and said item is no longer listed on the site, making me believe it is now Direct Only.

This would suggest that the delay has more to do with GW's changing policies than the the staff at the battle shop.

But it doesn't change the fact that they emailed me to say that one item had been shown in stock but couldn't be located, turned up the day after the rest of the order had been posted, after sending an email that the order had been posted which neglected to mention that one item was 'missing', then, the item that was supposedly posted separately the next day, was post dated 6 days after the email confirming it had been posted...

Mailed 6 days after! Intolerable! Last time something happened to me it was when I ordered from the specialist line direct from GW. I to took them 2 1/2 weeks to get it to me. Though they didn't send me an email when the mailed it. They didn't send me an email at all.

perhaps they haven't had theirs in, or because if you preordered yours, they didn't have enough to dispatch or something. just wait a bit. i am sure it will come ;)

its not a matter of being rational, really, or waiting.
I dont mind waiting, but if i send emails to a shop and telephone them to talk to them about a problem, i expect a reply - even if its to say that they are getting more stock in. its just standard customer service.

aye you are right. It even says on the site:

Quote:
You can email or call us at any time of day and we will reply to all questions and comments as soon as possible.

if you have phoned without answer, that is questionable. emails do take a few days whenever i send them to companies :)

hope the stuff arrives soon ^_^

If you haven't received anything by this time... then I wouldn't order from them again.

yeah I agree. I was considering buying something from them. I am having doubts now. I know Maelstrom games is good. even if the goods are 2% more expensive.
