#Underpriced- Gil Galad (totally) / Dragon (they just unbalance the game ) / Treebeard :roll:

#Overpriced- Necromancer/Gothmog

#Practical- Aragorn ( the free might point is awsome)

#Magical? Hmm Either Gandalf or Witch King... :roll:

#Fighting - I like the new cheap Shagrat / Ninja style Isildur Monkey twins and ofc ARAGORN :roll:

#Army leader- I must say that the new Aragorn is a very good leader but only for Grey Company and also Gilmi & Legolas. Also gandalf White...Which Kign or Dark Marshal :roll:

These are not really the most (cause they are already named), but models I think which are underpriced/overpriced.... too.

#Underpriced-
Good: Balin (when you compare him with a king, but he costs too much when comparing him + Durin's Axe with Gimli)
Evil: Sauron (when you face him in a 500 points army, he is undefeatable) and the Morannon Orc Captain (he only costs 5 points more as a Orc Captain, but he has heavy armour and 1 strenght more)

#Overpriced-
Good: Hama (he costs the same as a captain, but has one fate less)
Evil: Gothmog

#Practical-
Good: Legolas (to take out special targets, hard to hit)
Evil: Siege Bow (to scare the enemy)

#Magical-
Good: Celeborn + Elrond (good fighters and both has some magic)
Evil: Shaman (keep your orcs alive)

#Fighting-
Good: Erkenband (cheap hero and yet fightvalue 5 and some good M/W/F)/Heroes who get +1 for wounding without the -1 for rolling to win the fight
Evil: Spider Queen (strong and not so many points)

#Army leader-
Good: Merry, Pippin, Beregond, Damrod, Eowyn, RotN (all cheap heroes, so good to ally and yet they can play a big part in the battle)
Evil: Many captains with 3 might instead of 2

-Good - basicly all hobbit hero's exept the merry and pippin in armour
-Evil - gothmog

-Good- i am affraid ot say the elf twins, but they are brilliant, and any other pair of moddels for that matter and yes balin too
-Evil- Sauron... and gollum

-Good- The elf twins! BRILLIANT!! and if one dies the other one becomes allot harder to get, and legolas
-Evil- named ring wraiths

~~~~~~~Magical~~~~~~~
-Good- im going to be slightly different and say galadrial, but thats only because shees good at doing what i need doing
-Evil- yet again its the wraiths

~~~~~~~Good Leader~~~~~~~
-Good- Imrahil, for his own troops that is, dunedain and rangers are good for allieing (spelt completely wrong but so what (acualy so was that i think)(hey the brackets keep comming))
-Evil- Dark marshal, for his own troops, otherwise a huge spread of captains, prefferably the ones with 3 might but no real huge charicters

Agreed on Gimli. I've had him butcher Uruks, Gondorians, Orcs and Rohirrim and every time he's made back his 90 points and THEN some!

he is rock solid and not hugley expencive like some other hero's *cough* aragorn *cough* he will make back hs points which is one of the most important things in gaming

ah thats why i never use him any more, he is just too overpriced and powerfull, drop the stupid might rule and make him more like imrahil i say GW at the moment have got this obsession about making hugely good charicters who look flashy but when put in a battle are a complete waste, theyle give legolay an uber laser guided crossbow so he hits on 2's and has a S5 or somthing stupid like that

yes but imagine what he can do to a 400 pt balrog. Flame him with his fire breath and hes instantly dead. your opponent just lost 400 pts you still have 300.

And with gimli, ive used him a few times by himself verses 90 pts of goblins and he was smashed.

you could say the same for pretty much any hero though (apart from an engineer captain and the dragon with flame breath). heroes are not made to go alone against 18 models
