A new company has begun producing a range of 28mm historical figures that could come in extremely handy for LOTR gaming.

Wargames Factory ( http://www.wargamesfactory.com/ ) have just released a sneak peek of their Celts box ( http://www.wargamesfactory.com/Announce ... x?ID=13794 ), and I for one am very excited by this. The potential for LOTR conversions has suddenly exploded!

And, best of all, JohnandTrcicia of www.spectrehobbies.com are taking advanced orders for Wargames Factory products!

Multi-part Celts - in plastic. The permutations are huge. They just show a small sample so we could make a better assessment when all the parts are revealed (shortly). Looks to be good value too!

They could be used as body parts for the Rohirrim, Breeland Militia, Dunlendings, men of Dale and Rhovanion, Ruffians, men of the Feifdoms of Gondor, even weary defenders of Osgiliath. With a little creativity, they could be used to customise Orcs, Easterlings and Haradrim.

@LastRanger: I would use those those guys as Men of Rohan instead... :-)

But that shows that any non-uniformed warriors have huge potential as various troops when they are made as well as wargamesfoundry does them.

If anyone purchases a set, I would be really interesed to see a size comparison shot with GW plastic rohirrim or some metals side by side with them.
