little did we know that you had the intent of adding a lower jaw, which simply transformed the sculpt !!!

Speak for yourself DB! I foresaw that little gem coming. Perhaps you need the sculptors eye?

This dragon is looking very tasty indeed. Still hard to judge scale though. Will it's wings be bigger than the Balrogs? If about the same size, thin putty shouldn't be a problem for the membrane.

Great work thus far. I am very impressed with your attention to detail.

Here are a couple of pictures of the neck to show how I'm getting on with the scales further down. These pictures are a bit clearer too.

No scale pictures yet, but plenty of scales.

THat really does look amazing. I can tell you that one of the reasons I started to work on my Mumak was to get a taste of "sculpting". You make it look so easy and I know its not!!

I love the detailing on this model. You should be very proud of it and its only still in its infancy!

That is a brilliantly detailed model Natarn and it's just getting better and better! I can't wait to see what it's like finished, I just know it will be excellent though no matter what! Good Job (goods not quite the right word :P )!

Apart from it being a great sculpt, I would have done (if I could sculpt  ) the head a little larger.

Great attention to detail. :D

Great detail. It's looking great. :D
Can't wait to see the scale shot to see how big this mammoth of a sculpt is.

Looking great, it must be incredibly boring to do all those scales. The different colors of green add a cool effect, like real scales they're not uniform. I admire your patience!

Surely you plan to add some more detail to the lower jaw?

Sure.

The head is far from being finished.

It just keeps getting better, doesn't it. I think this is the point where I say "I don't envy you" due to the amount of time needed to get those scales right. :) Great work and only a gazillion left to do.

Cheers

I like the head - it is just fine, not top heavy, not pinheaded. And the wider picture shows off the ridge of the spine - very elegant. This is fabulous.

:D Great! :D Thanks for that, Dorth. Elegance is something I'm trying to achieve with this dragon - so I'm really pleased you made the comment.

I imagine this dragon (in 'real' life) being extraordinarily beautiful and fascinating - yet totally dreadful and filled with a mercilessly evil will. Adventurers and heroes would be drawn to it... and destroyed.

I cant imagine sculpting all those scales :)

I'm still trying to get my head around your brilliant fort that is overflowing with detail and a few hundred bricks lol

But your dragon is off the scales man! Im loving the face and the horny spine is just right. Cant wait to see more :D

Here's a picture of the left side of the neck and head. Still not sure about the head. I think the size is right but I may change the shape a bit.

That's the hard bit - taking a knife to a sculpt and slicing bits off. Still, it's good to get it 'right'. I'm not happy with where the neck meets the jaw. I need to go and do some research.

Perhaps a frontal shot of the dragone would help us help you decide what to do with the head. Sometimes looking at an object through others eyes helps.
