Hey all

I was wondering wether anyone has played a cathulu roleplaying game and what would be the best weapon to use, what you have incountered in your time and various other points to look out for in a cathulu RPG!?!

Cheers

Wow. That's one I haven't thought of in a while.

I used to play a little Call of Cathulu back in the early - mid 90s, but our game master kept the games very focused on the mystery, investigation, mystical aspects and we didn't get into "fights" that often ( though my character did have an heirlom dagger with some nice benefits when we did ). Unfortunately it was about the only game system I played that I didn't own the rules for so I couldn't really reference anything to give any advice.

Well played though it's a great environment to game in. Enjoy the ride! Now I'm getting inspired to dig out my Lovecraft books and do some reading again.

I never liked Cathulu, but it was probably just the setting, the "plot" (although there really was none), and the other players. My own Cathulu experience was bad.

I never got into the fights either. I tried to negotiate my way out of fights, but when the GM tried to force me to fight, I decided not to play anymore (I like my games with plot, thank you very much  ).
