There were five wizards sent to Middle-earth, Gandalf, Saruman, Radagast, Alatar and Pallando. The last two were the Blue Wizards who went to Rhun but did not come back. There are no official rules for them, but the unofficial supplement The Age of the King has rules for them.

Ramirez the Red, but he went over the sea and went home to Mexico, though some speculate that his name was actually Ruslan the Red and he travelled to the northeastern part of Middle-earth and discovered borscht and never returned. :D

SO no one really Prefersse GAndalf the White??? HA HA HAA

HIS DA BEEST

NO WIZARD CAN MATCH HIS SKILLS (No Offence Though. Radagast has his own uses in his own right)

As much as I play Gondor I really can´t see anybody more perfect than him to lead my armys (AS I just get si crazy when I see how the White Wizard saved Minas Tirith from doom)

Mostly I like his Blning Light and secondly one of My combos is that I use Denethor with himand Denetho never goes crazy cause I always restore his will...

Sometimes I don abit of Immobilise and Sorcerose Blast and Command and in very rear occasion "You´re staff is broken" but these are just secondary uses...

Now his stand fast is totally fantastic...
And Narya(what would I do with out it) allows him to stay on field much longer...

And by the way he doesn´t cost much...
I totally put him in 500 points armys  Maybe even 400 (depending on the enemy)

And I´ve found that there is no one better than this Guy yo lead my Gondorians. His is As Offencive As he is Deffencive So I really can´t uderstand why you criticise him so much...

HIS DA BEST

Well yeah I ment that but in "GAME SPIRIT" he is the real leader

Well if you put it that way then ofcourse Beregond and Denethor are my army leaders (usually Bereong)

And I ally Gandalf

But for me He is the Leader of this army

I suppose i would if there were only ten models on the other team.... not that expensive? 220 ^$&%(! Points! not expensive!? 1/4 of a large (1000pts) force!

to answer the question...
Gandalf the White Wins in Terms of Sheer power, but not in terms of a good model (there is something that grates on me with it)
Gandalf the Grey wins the character test and the model test (there is something about the models i like, but can't quite place...)
Saruman wins the attack power test, as an 18" command and immobilise (i think on a 2 and 3+ aswell) is an extremely disruptive force, a 4+ SB is also FANTASTIC, very useful, 12" stand fast is excellent aswell. i would probably choose him over GtW, as, although he doesn't have so much defence, he does have very potent attack, for less points - hes like gandy the white, but defense becomes better range, he loses some spells, but i think its worth it.
Radagast is a special case, hes kind of "The Quiet One" - nobody really expects anything from him, he goes on subtlety, he doesnt do any direct damage (not on purpose) but renew and panic steed are really frustrating for your opponents - taking out about 6points on a 2+ per turn or sometimes 10/15 points on a hero steed is quite useful. renew can also irritate the hell out of your opponents, and would make galadriel with mirror nearly unkillable - 3 re-rolls to avoid a wound, if she loses them she gets them back, if she does get hurt he brings her back. its simple. he allows volley fire on anything, and never has to worry about line of sight.

in a game i would probably take Gandalf for BL and character, or Saruman for attack power and disruption. i would only take radagast with wood elves, and i would rarely take gandy the white, as he is just to expensive - very powerful, but the cost... get a bolthrower and gandalf the grey!

thats just my opinion though

theirs no doubt about it: It just is Saruman the white.
Hes almos 100 pts cheaper then Gandalf and almost as good

Yes Gandalf has S5 But whats the uwe of that if your casting spells?

Ring of Gandalf? Your a wizard: stay away from combat and avoid arows.

Radagast has panic steed? Saruman has sorcerous blast pretty much the same effect, but then large-scaled.

And he has better spellrange

Only downside: No regeneration spells

and all of this for just 150 points

all hail Saruman the white
