Looking good. The green on the wraiths is a great idea and very subtle. well done.

I must admit I have been on a bit of a hiatus - it's just quicker and easier to look at everyone's stuff on Facebook, and quicker to get the feedback and encouraging likes. You can also see the pictures full screen in an instant so it has a few things going for it.
Can't beat the website for all the ideas being in one place and easy to search though!

Thank you all very much! I'm glad, that you like the way I painted the banner bearers. The same for the green glow on the wraiths. I agree, that Facebook delivers a somewhat 'easier' experience. But I've always liked the spirit on this forum here and I'm getting more and more tired of FB.

In other news: here's a new batch of Uruk-Hai with crossbows together with their captain Vrasku

Oh boy.. it's been a while, but here's more progress from the ever growing stock of unpainted miniatures

I generally like the natural colours and the bases on your models. I think it looks very realistic. The somewhat unnatural greenish glow on the ringwraith offer a nice supernatural contrast, that I find very appropriate.

First of all, thank you, like man times before, for your kind and motivating comments! I'm always glad to read them and they help me keep going on painting, even if I do that slowly.
So once again, thank you Stewhr and Advario, much appreciated! The same for you Allvhar, Im Glad that you like (and noticed) the natural colours and base design- they are what I aim for.

After a long while and quite overdue I got a few new minis off my painting table, further completing my little Rohan collection with another banner bearer, a huntsman and the rare Rohan captain:

So i guess after more than six these guys from the Rohan Commanders blister don't have to be alone any longer... was it worth the wait?

Loving em! Is there any feeling better than hunting down a rare model you've been hunting for for a while. I recently managed to snap a dwarf captain sculpt I've been looking for and man did it feel good to finally add it to my collection.

The Rohan commanders look great! I like the way you based them as they quite natural and realistic.

Almost a year after I purchased the Pelennor-box Théoden is finished now. And I notice, that faces in helmets still are my nemesis..
(In the background there's the old Théoden I painted 6 years ago or so)

They look great. I especially love the silver armour. I like that Snowmane's hooves are grey, not too jarring. I will have to try that on my white horses.

I also really like the yellow on the banner above. Most people do red, (me too) but the yellow is really nice.

They look good! I agree, faces in helmets are definitely a challenge. I think you did a good job though, maybe give it a quick wash with Aggrax Earthshade to add a little extra definition and tone down the brightness just a bit. Overall though, good job!

Theoden's shield is really sharp! I think your basing is excellent as it looks really natural and realistic. If you don't mind me asking, what do you use for the flock/mossy looking stuff? It is perfect for this scale of minis!

Good looking minis.
Clean work, simply bases (what is this moss-looking thing? it looks great).
Cool idea with the Theoden under Sarumans influence. I wouldn't believe if somebody tell me that you can convert Denethor mini.

Thank you all for the nice comments! I really appreciate the feedback
@ Kuribo and Paul7 the flock is a mix of different fine flocks. I use Fine Turf by Woodland scenics in the colours of "Burnt Grass" and "Yellow Grass" and mixed into that light brown and light green flock from Noch.

Yeah...I haven't even opened my Pelennor Fields set except to fish out the rule book. I did, however, repaint all of my old Rohirrim, so that's the equivalent of the boxed set plus some heroes. I'm almost done, I had to take a break from all that horse flesh!

The Gimlis are great. I especially like the grey shading on the Breaking version. The eyes are also really well done, not creepy and staring.

I agree with comments above on Gimlii (the plural form of Gimli  )! He is the hardest member of the Fellowship to paint as the colors aren't easily match to paint systems like GW. The three of them look awesome together though. Also belated thanks for the tip on the flock! :)
