Happy New Year everyone!
It's been a while. Always stuff to do around Christmas and New Years Eve, so I haven't spent much time in the Shire lately... My Bilbo-miniature has started to complain since it's pretty cold outside and he really needs a house! And since New Years Eve is now left behind I'm back in Bag End!
I've almost completed the hill-shapes. Plaster was used for the large areas and then milliput for the parts where I had to be more precise. I still need to add some more milliput, especially on the edges of the model to make it stronger.
It's very difficult to find pictures of Bilbos garden, so I might have to improvise a bit on that one... Bilbos bird house is made from green stuff. The pole it's attached on is not glued in place yet (I will cut it down to an appropriate size when the garden takes shape).
Now I can open and close the door in the fence. The wire-henges works! It might look a bit weird on the picture though (especially the pole on the left), since it's not actually attached yet...
And I can open and close the door to the house. This is done in a much easier way since the henges are hidden inside the house and didn't have to actually look like henges...
And finally, a picture of the whole model so far:

When I did my yellow work, I added some thin glazes of browns to the tops to create some shading, I also very very lightly drybrushed some very pale yellow onto the mid sections of the walls.
Thanks! I took your advice and it looks much better now (Still a very aggressive yellow on the pictures though... The picture of the whole model has the most reliable colors).

That's wonderful!! Any chance that can post the plans you drew here with measurements?
Again, excellent stuff.
I have changed so many things during the process. So my original measurements isn't the most reliable... But I can make a new drawing based on the finished model when it's done - with correct measurements! ; )
