Do you remember the big WiP mentioned even in the first post of this topic?
It's still in progress, though i managed to photograph along with the help of a dear friend all that is finished.
Started as a joke several years. I wasn't a huge fan of Harad, but i loved the Mahuds (both stats/game-wise and the models). So i started with the boring ones (see Harad) in order to continue with the camel riders, so as to use them as allies in army lists.
But as the Harad army grew in numbers, i gradually started to enjoy it.
Now, i have almost completed the numbers i want of on foot models, currently working the Golden King of (not) Abrakhan, who will be the leader of my Karna warbands. After that's finished, I'll go for the mounted models (Suladan,7-8 Haradrim Raiders and 5 Serpent Riders).
I divided the army (again, as with the Rangers) in two colour schemes, in order to provide a bit of diversity.
So the ones clad in blacks/reds/purples are the followers of Suladan (unfortunately still unassembled/unpainted) and the rest come from Karna (wearing more warm/earthy colours).
Believe it or not, not a single miniature from the Mahud range and the Mumakil are painted.
Hopefully in the months that are coming I'll start working on them.
Here comes the photo-avalanche.
The Harad Host so far
All the way from Karna
The watchers use the same colour scheme but I added blacks to make them look a bit more sinister. I consider them to be some of the worst sculpted minis of the entire range.
(Gary Morley ftw!
)
Some of the specials/characters
Suladan's guards were finished a few weeks ago.Not really loved the models, a bit difficult in the batch painting but now I'm relieved they're done.
I decided to give only to 3 of them those ugly horns on the back. That way I can distinguish them amongst the rest, as lieutenants.
This is my converted Suladan's banner bearer.
Check the serpents on the cloths.
