Half the Veterans, and add more basic Minas Tirith warriors, because your army needs more troops.

No, I disagree, keep all the veterans as they are a handy unit. (bows.. and shields!)

I would say rather reduce the cavalry (which is squishy anyway), and take more warriors. Also you generally don't need a banner.. they can be occasionally useful and nice to have one in an army, but in your list you need more infantry, as you can park the cavalry 8 inches away from and infantry unit, then the infantry will need a 6 to hit the cavalry, but the cavalry will need anything but a 1... and no need for a banner, which for 35 points is a very minor buff

Think about the bolt thrower, the artillery is better by being taken in 2s or 3s, either drop it for some more warriors, or take a second with the saving on the cavalry.

Also you have rangers and veterans as archer units, so maybe don't take the WoMT archers and again take more warriors.

I wouldn't use aragorn in a 1500 pionts army.. he's just to expensive. Faramir is good though!

Again, I disagree....

I face Aragorn regularly from anywhere in 900-1500 point games. he is worth his points.. a free Might point every turn?? +2 to hit with his company with Anduril? He is a standard choice for Gondor in lists of all sizes. As well as inspiring leader and his epic Journey move?

(If you want to talk about expensive heroes not worth taking under 1500 points - Lurtz is 175 with nothing like Aragorn's abilities)

Though to return to the OP's list... and what we all have been suggesting that there are too many heroes and legendary formations and not enough basic infantry. There are many ways to do that, but simply put lose at least one legendary formation. I suggest if you keep the Rangers, then keep radagast and faramir and lose aragorn and get more troops. If you drop the rangers, keep Aragorn and lose radagast and / or faramir.

I haven't had much experience with him tough.. so I guess he should be alright.

I do agree that you would need more basic troops! that is warriors of minas thirith or something like that.

1 Lose the captain and banner for more troops.
2 The same for the archers.
3 Again for either Faramir or Radagast.
5 And once more for the Rangers of Ithilien.
4 Split the cavalry into units of 3, so they're more maneuverable - you'll have trouble lining 6 coys up for a flank charge.

You can keep any one out of 1-4 for theme reasons, but having them all gives you far too many archers and not nearly enough heavy foot.

would radagast be a good ally? I guess saruman is a better wizard but he's more expensive

Saruman the White (Good one) costs the same as Radagast. Personally I think Radagast is an awesome wizard. Not so offensive. More supportive. Panic Steed is pretty cool though, and renew, and all his special rules. I'm not sure what he's like in WoTR though.

Saruman has spells of ruin which is, if you ask me, the most powerfull lore of magic in WOTR

Both Wizards are good, just the one you choose affects your play style somewhat. Saruman is a good offensive caster, the best in the game, he is in effect a one-man artillery unit. But like them vulnerable and often a prime target your opponent will beeline.

Radagast is more of an offensive buff, his all round attacks are good, and the fact his formation strikes at the same time as cavalry can be devastating, and when you need to bunker down, that epic tranquility is very aggravating to an opponent.

Take the one that suits your style :)
