Eowyn for me as its one of the last for completion of my Rohan army. She will never win though

I voted for Gandalf. I'll have to paint him when I get back from this trip though. Stuck in Tokyo airport right now. :-D

They're usually pretty lenient on "counts as" models, since the real objective is to get the members painting and sharing their results.

I just stripped an Eowyn, I have an Escape from Orthanc Gandalf sitting around (which would lead to the rest of the Fellowship  ) but the only Faramir I have unpainted is a headless Heroes of the West version. I guess I could slap a metal Knight's head on it and be good to go.

Anyway, I'll vote Eowyn but I have minis for any of the options...

You stripped Eowyn?? How was it? :3

I will never paint my Faramir Captain of Ithilien unless he wins a competition . . . come on people we all have a ton of Gandalfs already painted. Let do Faramir.

That's the mounted one with a shield, right? I must ask, is it as ugly in person as the photo of it is?

I think the model looks great! I have one, unpainted as yet, and this challenge would have been a good excuse to paint it up.

The face on it didn't remind me of Faramir at all (in fact the only way I knew it was him was because he was using Denethor's shield that WETA designed for him) and the legs looked blocky. GW only ever printed one picture of it that I've seen though so my entire impression is based on it.

Gandalf it is. Gandalf, Saruman and Radagast will all be acceptable entries.

When can we post a proof pic? I may be able to start in the next day or two and would love to take advantage of the time if possible...

I'm in. Going for a mounted Radagast conversion.

Hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew...
