That's simply stunning! I like the NMM on the sword as well. Keep up the good work.

I'm glad to know you feel that way ;) Now it's mounted version on the agenda :D

But to be honest I might get back to 40k for a while since my new airbrush and compressor are to be delivered tomorrow :) That should make my commission hell lot easier :D

I love your work, as usual. Your transitions are so smooth. I think it is masterfully executed, but I think that the NMM started off a bit too dark. Of course, this criticism comes from someone who couldn't paint anywhere near that level!

That's stunning painting Wiktor! Easily Golden Demon standard!

hey Haldir, I have a question.

I have been practicing a lot on my elven cloaks and how you have to look at it from a perspective of a light coming from above. I have done all of my shadows and highlights but I see that your mini's cloths have a white-ish tone for the last highlight.

For my cloaks I have been building it up from Dark Flesh to Mechrite Red, having a 30:70 mixture of DF:MR, do I just add white with this, or what??

thanks

Very nice, especially the highlighting. I do, however, have one humble criticism: I think her hair looks too grey.

It's just my style for some minis. On some of them I choose to do extreme highlight, meaning highlighting all colours to pure white ;) But as everyone on my Polish forum says, it's more WFB than LOTR. But to be honest I don't care ;)

Just saw some of your minis browsing ebay and remembered I hadn't commented on those morgul knights - they're excellent!

Hmm.. I've been looking at the pics more, and personally there are aspects that I don't appreciate.

Sure, your technique etc. is freekin' awesome, but things like NMM and the extreme highlights...I guess I just have a much different style. Btw, that doesn't include OSL 8)

That said, I would still like to see more painting from you. :-D

I have just read through this entire WIP and I must say your work is an inspiration. I will follow this thread closely.
I wish I had an eye for NMM sword painting.
