I am really angry with myself right now. I had a super good face - added a wash and make a cute girl look like a 50 year old smokester
I tryd to fix it up - u see the evolution... Sad :( I leave it be i think i can do only more wrong.... paint seems to thicken up and make shades.. Oh yes - the thing on the cape is supossed to be a rohan horse -- bad attempt :P

Don't worry too much about the face. All I do to mine mini's is usually just a dob of elf flesh on the face and that's it. I think the cape looks alright you have the right idea with it.

I think the cape actually looks pretty good. Maybe from different angles it may not but it's a good effect because it's only on the ridges.
Keep up the fantastic progress 8)

Poor troll has massive lichen infestation. Living all your life in cold moist caves can do that to you. No wonder he's has that nicely angry expression on his face. 8)

It already looks great, that's a nice idea for a banner bearer and it already seems to have turned out well, can I refer to it as a Khandish Uruk?

So is that a forest troll you painted up? It would make a nice diorama with your Toxic Swamp Elf Warrior. :D

Hoping to get some time sooner or later.. 3 more comic pages. And the bloody paper ...

@sacrilege:no it's not the forest troll, i painted him in stone colours first. But i didn't like it , then added a green layer. Made him look much better :).

@old chesnut: ty alot for remembering that :) . I ment the hobbit version tough. I didn't like the rotoscope and the disney like version to much.

I like the idea of adding the banner to the siege troops back. Original :)

I think it is a good reminder of how bad a LOTR movie could have been. 8)

It's a bit time bound. I would say don't see it at as bad, because i think that i remember scenes that look very familiar with the movie ones. Almost identical, it might have helped forming what Peter Jackson made.

Jackson certainly acknowledges this, the flashback of Deagol and Smeagol finding the ring in the beginning of RotK has the exact same dialogue as in Bakshi's film.

Here begins an awesome fan product that combines Bakshi's soundtrack to Jackson's cinematography. :)

...but to stay on topic, how about some new minis, Garm?

I think i got enough to paint for now :) almost that whole isenguard army.
Some metal ones still need to be stripped. I was out of glue - finally got some. So it will be rebasing the fellowship.
My fingers itches to paint Sauron.
For the rest i intent to visit my Belgium friend Eothen. And then a tournament in Antwerp.
2 more pages for my comic - after that i hope to gain some more free time (hopfully today one page - and tomorrow another one).
