Invocation, The Belower, The Word of Hashut; all are online magazines by hobby communities.
So, you get where I'm up to. My idea is to create an One Ring online magazine!
Every issue will appear per season, and will include hobby articles, scenario's, unit analyses, maybe even a kinda 'ask aunty x'!
Would annyone be intrested to help ? And (I'm mostly looking to the moderaters now), would this be possible ?

Ideas, comments or answerds; wat do you think ?

Might be good idea, but on the other hand it would take lots of work and If i am not wrong the site is not completly fixed yet.

Only problem I can think of is that many of those points are brought up in normal threads eg. unit analysis- 'continuous tactical discussions', scenarios 'campaigns scenarios and battle reports' etc.

It would still be pretty cool if it happened though.

Well, you're right about the forums, but IMO, those are for asking questions and gain feedback, and not for article-like purposes.
and @ garmenhord: it wouldn't start right now ofcourse, the first issue would be around the beginning of winter/spring.

What he means is that a good magazine takes a lot of time and work to produce... you need editors, article writers, people to "make it look good", etc...

I'm all for it, although I doubt that contribution-wise I would be able to do much with my packed schedule.

An idea would be that articles posted on the site between two issues would be put in the following one...

Good design. Yeah I indeed mean that it's a time taking thing making a decent magazine and a good team. It would be hard to do it all alone. And of course u need active people helping to make it, so that it wouldn't die out because of lack of article writers. But u seem very motivated This might go well. Good luck with it. I don't got much time so - it might be hard to help out for me. But i would totally like the idea of a cartoon or a comic stroke in each magazine. Maybe own made covers? hehe just suggesting. Might draw something if u want and i got the time. Looking forward to the first isue

Sounds like a great idea in my opinion. You'd have to appoint some mangers to this, for Dagerlad & other mods are very busy these days. So it'll be up to some of the members. You could have people entering articles on how to paint/convert/make some things. Have a gallery as well where all the issues would be stored. I agree something with the OR emblem somewhere. I'm up for helping when the time comes that we start it.

I think maybe you're putting too much stuff into one issue. You should probably stretch it out a little so you've always got enough for later issues. Maybe combine some of the sections together?

Perhaps it's not bad to have more sections , - but publish the articles in parts... so that u will be watching out for the following issue U know like a tv soap ; making u want to watch the next episode ( step of painting guide here for ex-)

Yes, that would work. What I was worried about was having really bad articles just to fill up the various sections; I'd rather have less but better articles.
