The inks were shiny, I don't find the washes shiny at all.

i agree with whafrog. the washes arent shiny in my opinion and i think they are a good improvement compared to the old inks.

nice to see a new starter set as i thought the old one was rubbish :!:

however warriors of minas tirith or dwarf warriors would be nice
maybe 2 starter sets next time gw, 1 for good and 1 for evil would be lovely

I have no idea why but for me, the washes sometimes can be shiney and others not. It's really strange. I don't know if it's to due with humidity or not but it definetly varies.

Try mixing in a bit of detergent, it will reduce surface tension and make the wash spread out more.
