Very nicely done so far. I love it. Will you be includinhg any of the statues from the osgiliath ruins set? IMO they'd be perfect for this.

yes i am going to be painting a gondor force. in fact ive already started on one, so ill probably be starting a WIP thread for that...

just weird lighting... although my friend who commands the mordor host claims its proof that he will win and conquer it and corrupt it in the same way as minas morgul lol

more updates will be coming tho it might be long in the coming getting ready for the OR awards and all... thanks again everyone

That looks magnificent. The warriors as statues are brilliant little touches. Keep up the amazing work and good luck for your One Ring Awards project.

oh Blue Dragon, i can say i was certainly excited when they released the osgiliath ruins, ironically, from my research, the statures look very similar to the ones the "real" city had around the base of the rock that divided the city. although placing them there might be to crowded, i figure there is probably a few good places to put them within my city...

And again thanks everyone for the great comments... always encouraging to hear your hard work is paying off

It would be wrong to begin a post in this thread with anything other than adoration. So I'll say it; your Minas Tirith energizes me! I truly feel motivated to start my own massive project! Seeing that thing from so many different angles really gives it life. The door is particularly amazing, all of those beams and chains look like they came straight out of the movie! Awesome stuff.

I have to ask, how are you storing this? Have you made arrangements with those you are living with for it to become a permanent fixture? Is it going to be modular? The logistics of such an undertaking simply baffle me...

again thanks everyone for the great comments! it certainly makes you want to continue when you have such great feed back... now, answers...

Luminary, thanks for the great feedback, its been a project off and on for a few years now (never seem to finish anything in a hurry with this hobby  )

but how is it to be stored? well obviously a project of this scale requires a lot of room. room that i dont have if i were to make it one piece, so actually it will be broken down into 12 plus pieces so i can store it. also if i want to move it to, say the game store or a terny i actually could. building something this size has certainly tired my patience but has been more then worth the effort so far! thanks again and ill be posting again as soon as ive made some noticeable progress

Looks like you are thinking along the same lines as myself - mostly foamboard and able to store in pieces. Your construction is very, very neat. I love the gates - they are larger than mine (I believe). How many levels are you aiming for?
