Well i like the good old lotr sbg best and don't really like the new wotr system that makes it all just warhammer-like. It is obviously that gw only published this new system in order to make more money.

would have been better to make rules to allow multiple dice rolls for mass combats with sbg rather than conflate the rules and generate epic heroes and the complicated rules unnecessarily
You say it!

Thats exactly my point....
So the purpose of this thread isnt to find out which system people prefer, but to bitch about WotR? Nice.
Point of fact:
If it wasn't for the recent popularity of WotR, SBG would be even further behind in support for models than it already is. 3 new plastic sets in the past few months? Not if SBG was still the only way to play LotR. Sad, but true.
Now in an effort to take this thread seriously and ignore the "Thats dumb. This is better." mentality, I will answer the question posed. What rule system do I prefer?
While I do prefer WotR, I am eager to try SBG again as I haven't played since its earliest days as the fellowship boxed set. I wasn't very impressed with those rules and popular consensus states it has gotten much more refined since those days. The SBG rules are great when I played Legends of the Old West/High Seas (which shares the same design engine as LotR SBG) so I figure I need to revisit the LotR variety again.
Which makes answering this poll difficult but went with WotR since thats what I am currently playing. I want to be a LotR player who can play and enjoy either system.
