Just a quick update of Legolas. Camera just ran out of batteries, so I shall post some more pics later :)

Any C&C appreciated as always!

Shucks, thanks guys  I've decided I need to add a few lighter highlights to Legolas' hair.

@Sean: Sure thing mate, I'll try and get around to it as soon as possible

I've also got 2 orc archers in the works, so stay tuned!

Cheers!

Hey guys, time for another update. I haven't really worked on Legolas, and instead I've been focussing on normal troops and captains.

First up is an Uruk-Hai Captain which I featured earlier in my WiP - he is now based and ready to lead the hordes of Isen!
Image

Secondly, I also had some woodelves that I speed-painted for a tourney ages ago. Looking over them I wasn't really happy with what I had tuned out, especially because if anything, they are my favourite race in LoTR. So here is the first of the revamped elves.

I still need to buy another box to finish off the army, in severe lack of spears! (Although if someone has some spare and would like to trade, send me a PM)

Finally, I'm slowly constructing a 350 pt Mordor army, and heres what I've got to show for it so far

Anyways, back to the painting desk!

Update time! This update is really for To9G; however for the moment it can reside here as progress is oh-so-slow.

I've managed to do the quiver and bow, and have started on the skin. Unfortunately the camera has drowned out the Dark Flesh highlights on the quiver. In any case, he's almost done :)

Don't let John see this or you'll never hear the end of it! :o

You've done a great job on him so far, the highlights on the cloak are just perfect. Can't wait to see the rest of your army take shape

He's seen it and he likes it.

Also, as it's for the To9G, there are no issues.

:-D

Great job on the armour. I like the cloak as well.

Now downside. Add some more highlights on brown parts, they're too horizontal. Albo whole arrows need some more layeres to bring out the depth.

Otherwise great model.

Thanks for those pointers Viktor, I did take them into account when I was finishing this lad off.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I've basically finished the elf now, apart from his base. I'll finish that off later however, as there are more pressing matters (ie. paint more elves!) to attend to. Sooo here are some more pics to drool over:
