Fantastic painting - the mini looks like it is larger than 28mm scale as the paint has been applied so finely. More please!

Some warg raiders for a change. I'm painting them as a commission work for a friend of mine. He sent them already converted to me, so I only did the painting. More pics soon

Superb painting - how do you manage that smooth finish on the painting - every tiny detail is so clear!

Those are wonderfully painted Warg Riders I only hope that when I eventually get to painting mine they will look half as good.

Beautiful stuff. Those are some of the best warg riders I've ever seen. :)

Here's an update on the warg riders:

I still need to paint the metallics (and add some rust to the armour of the orcs) and probably brighten slightly their skin.

Can't believe i missed this thread lately! Wonderful work Viruk - I love the conversion of the warg rider holding the head up in victory - a great and innovative pose.

Nice blending on the troll, but maybe another highlight on the raised lumps on the back?...

I agree, vary the colours a little on the gobbos, they are orcs, so the colours of their skin will be varied, and they wont always have the same clothes.

Great work, keep it up, and us posted! :D

Thanks for the comments.

Good point about the clothes - I will paint some gobbos using slightly different colour scheme - for example brownish skin and dirty orange for the clothes.

I was wondering how to paint the rim of base for my goblins. I usually use black. The advantage is that it gives nice contrast to what is painted/sculpted/glued on the base. On the other hand, the gray colour adds some warmth to these rather dark minis.
Here's a pic with both options.

I'm looking forward to reading your opinions as this is a rather important thing for me, since I plan on painting several dozen of gobbos
