I have recently started working on minis from Mines of Moria set. Here are the pictures of what I've already painted.

Hope you like them, comments and suggestions are welcome.
I finally bought a camera, so I will keep you updated on the progress :)

EDIT: I will put all my WIP pics in this thread to avoid starting a new one each time I begin painting different mini

Excellent minis Viruk!

Amazing detail on the faces, especially Gimli, he looks really cool! :D

Absolutely love the hobbits :D The faces on Boromir and Gimli are amazing too, you seem to have painted details on the faces that I can barely see on mine. I'm starting my MoM miniatures today, so these will come in handy as reference :)

Great work!

Those hobbits look really great! The red cloth on Boromir and Gimli could perhaps have a bit more contrast? Maybe one more shade or highlight layer? Their faces look very good too. Keep us updated on your progress!

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated.

@valpas - good suggestion. I think I'll add one more highlight of pure blood red. I wanted to give the clothes a dirty, worn-out look but I guess I ended up having too dark colours. Another shade of brighter colour and a few washes should improve it.

Very nice as usual Viruk. I am also in favour of Pasi's suggestion for the red clothing. The blues on Pippin look fantastic

Keep us updated

Looks great Viruk! I love your way of using the colours, the smooth shading and the shadows give the mini's a very nice theme. Well done again!

;)

Painted the tunic and few other minor details on Boromir. It still needs one or two more highlights, especially on the edges. I was also thinking about doing some freehand on the sleeves. I remember that in the movie Boromir had some kind of golden pattern and probably will try to paint something similar. Does anyone have some links that I could use for reference?
Any other ideas and suggestions would of course be appreciated.

Thanks Beatrice, this pic will also be a great reference. Now I see that I should also paint some mud on the tunic. The pattern on the sleeves is more complicated than I'd thought. Ayway, I will have to try to simplify it slightly.
