The Glorfindel error also exists on the SBG sheet

Hi LonelyKnight,
yesterday I used your army building tool for two lists (good: Minas Tirith and Dol Amroth, evil: Angmar). It's really a great tool and very comfortably to use.

But I found three small bugs in the final lists, two tiny ones and one a little more substantial. I tell it here to you:

- Faramir in heavy armour and shield got the special rule "woodland creature". This cannot be correct. I think it's even wrong for him as captain of the rangers.
- At the bottom of my Angmar list there appeared an additional heading "goblin town" without any data. I checked, the goblin town sheet did not contain any data input.
- And the last one, the movement attribute in my lists was printed as 6"/ 15 cm. In my German army book it's 6"/ 14 cm. That's really not relevant, because since The Hobbit-rulebook all distances are measured in inch only, but I wanted to make a remark as I'm just writing this post anyway.

I'm sorry, it's somehow injust to write so much about bugs and so little about the advantages of your tool. It should certainly be reversely! Thanks for your work and maintanance!

Just to let you know it's in the FAQ's all the ranger captains got woodland creature added to their profiles just so they match up with the rangers and ithilien.

In the Kingdoms of Men errata part of the FAQ, Faramir, Madril and Damrod all got Woodland Creature (regardless of equipment). EDIT: just beaten to it.

Thanks for the time and effort to create the MESBG version. Just noticed Knights of Rivendell don't count as having bows, which I believe they do now (at least for the time being, they no longer are exempt from the bow limit as the army list that rule was part of no longer exists).

Thank you, infinateremains, for the Information about the new (?) special rules for ranger captains in the faqs. I played SBG with MT up to now following the old rules und found it paradox that Damrod was not as agile as his rangers in woodland.

For Faramir as ranger captain it's a reasonable rule too, and if Faramir is wearing armour, why should he loose his abilities.

So I'm pretty content with these amendments. I will check the other errata to the old army books too. Maybe there are more such positive surprises.

And thanks to LonelyKnight for keeping your tool up to date with the SBG rules.

First one was already answered twice :P, FAQs add all sorts of little differences.
Second one is a formula pointed to the wrong place, hopefully that's the only one in that column.
Third one is actually a direct conversion in case someone only has cm rulers.
The current game has no cm values, considered actually removing all the cm values.. ended up leaving the direct conversions instead (1" = 2.54 cm).

Rivendell Knights... yeaaaah I haven't actually used them once, didn't remember they had bows at all :X

Gonna upload now

And don't worry about reporting bugs, that's what the thread is for after all

First of all thanks a lot for the amazing spreadsheets, very clear and awesome. Use them a lot.

However, in MESBG I noticed when I select Halbarad and Arathorn in the Rangers list it doesn't register the points for Arathorn.

Well, 0 points for Arathorn was a welcome upgrade though :)

Hey, thanks for doing the MESBG version. Its been coming in real handy while thinking of Throne of Skulls lists to take.

Couple of things I noticed

First might not be considered a bug as your spreadsheet is designed to go beyond this event but when you choose the three trolls and campfire, if you add Smaug, or a Gundabad captain for example, the camp fire is no longer free but the last rule of the trolls army bonus says that for ToS it should be for the list of other allied factions. (hope that made sense, reread the rule i think you'll understand lol)

Second, when choosing ruffians from sharkeys rogues, bows dont add to your bow limit in the spreadsheet.

Thanks again

Yeah the troll thing was on purpose :P
Would be harder to do it the other way, and since it's a one tournament thing I skipped it.

The ruffians thing was misdirected formulas.

Gona upload
Cheers

Thanks again for this amazing tool!

I've noticd that Morgul Knights are missing from the Barad-dur list in the MESBG 0.9 builder.

I've noticed that the heroes in the Erebor reclaimed list don't display stats on the army roster.

Great work on this - It saves me quite a bit of time. Just a question - I noticed that the spreadsheets don't allow an option for Isengard Uruk-Hai Scouts or Marauders to have a bow. Is that an omission? Or did I miss a rule change somewhere? I didn't see anything on GW's FAQ document that makes me think that it's not an option, but it's possible that there's something I missed.

Uruk-Hai scouts (and the marauder upgrades) have Orc Bows as options, not Bows (first column in isengard)

These are fantastic! Used them to create a cheat sheet for my models so that I don't need to flip through the book.

For the MESBG, when selecting only rangers for my Rangers of the North list, it still says I am negative in bow limit.

Their 100% bows bonus only applies if you only take models from that list:

Army Bonus
“He’s one of them Rangers, they’re dangerous folk they are” - A force that contains models solely from the Rangers of the North army list may take up to 100% of their Warriors with bows, even if this takes them beyond the bow limit. Rangers of the North and Dúnedain may lead warbands of up to 6 models.
