Callum and Grandad needed some Goblin Raiders for a game and a hunt around the second hand sites revealed none. So we looked in the Big Box. It we found some wargs and some Moria goblins in various states of disrepair. A quick test showed that the position of the goblin legs would allow conversion to riders fairly easily.

So using Milliput, glue, wire and spare bits from other figures and the spares box we made these:

These models look awesome for gaming. What do you mean you got them at big box?

The Big Box is Callum's name for a 70 litre plastic chest in my cupboard that is full of Little Boxes of LOTR, Dark Ages, Medieval second hand figures bought or donated, spare parts on plastic sprues and zip lock bags of bits, broken figures, toy animals. Anything we think might be useful for a conversion on the basis that at "some time in the future it will be needed". So in these raiders there are head swaps, weapon changes and different shields.
