Ah alright! Yeah you're right Aulë would be a common name.
Well, good work anyway! Gothmog is also great! 8)

The concept of your thread is interesting, I hope you can continue this and post more often the completed minis from the magazines! :)

@Fëanor, Many thanks :rofl:
@Valadorn, I'll be trying to do so, since I'm now on a university break, I have more time to dedicate to painting :-D The big "problem" here is that they only released until nr 65 in Portugal, so I can't paint all the original BGiME miniatures... it's a shame.

Also, I've now noticed that the photos of the first few pages have disappeared... I'll try to fix that when I can... I think one of the main goals of this little project is to show how much one evolves his painting technique while going thru all the BGiME

Cheers guys

This is one of those which the face looks really amazing when painting, and on photos it looks like garbage  anyway...

Some more photos on my blog post: http://www.middleearthminis.com/2016/12/94th-post-painting-denethor-tutorial.html

That's high quality paintwork there! The figures look almost real! I love it!

Gothmog turned out really well. And you're right about Denethor's face, you did a fantastic job on it.

After Faramir (BGiME number 59) I have the following to show:
60: Boromir (Armoured)
61: Aragorn (Strider)
62: Bilbo Baggins
63: Gollum/Sméagol

It's always nice to see progress on this project. All the new entries are looking great, Striders coat and Gollums base stand out the most to me!

I love it! I've got that Gothmog coming in the mail some time soon, and I've had Bilbo and the Fellowship Aragorn in my "to do" bin for a while now. This is inspiring me to get cracking on them!

Thank you all for the feedback guys!
I've been a bit away from the hobby and the fora because my graduation would take all my time away. Now that that chapter is over, I'm returning to painting and ave a bit more time to all this

Last week I've finished BGiME #64, which is Éomer
I'll post the photos soon

Cheers

Battle Games in Middle Earth #64: Éomer on foot

I believe I'll be starting my last BGiME mini (mounted Théodred) this week, so it will probably be posted in here next weekend

I have also done a tutorial for Éomer on my blog. The main goal is for me to track and register my results, but it also might be something of interest to someone.
I would like to receive some feedback from you guys :-D

Very nice. Are you done your goal of painting all the magazine figures? Will you try to track down other magazines and figures to get all the way to issue 91? What's next?
