Thanks!

@LAG: Tamiya Clear Red mixed with a smal drop black. The best blood effect there is. With changing the added colors and the quantity you can simulate the range of fresh to dried blood.

And a little fellow for in between:

I agree. Excellent job on Gollum's skin tone. A lot of people make him look too "warm" in my opinion.

I really love the back banners and shields. They give a very unified look to them. 8)

Great Angmar Army!

I had the pleasure to see them in Vienna in real and I'm thrilled :)

But am I blind? I did not seen a closeup picture from your shade :/

Apart from the great paintjob, those bases are characteristic, this ground is like mud contrasting with the snow or the stone. Artistically well executed!

Just looked through here, suuuper cool stuff. I am thinking about making an angmar army and I will definitely be stealing some of your design schemes for it! Especially like the snow for basing. I am kind of considering getting some gundabad orcs for Angmar orcs.

I'm in the progress of painting up all 9 Ringwraiths.

The Witch King and the Knight of Umbar are allready painted up foot & mounted in this thread as well as the Dwimmerlaik and Khamul on foot.

Next up is the Shadowlord:

Amazing work, I really like the big Gundabad orcs what did you use to make them?

Up next is my favorite Ringwraith if we go purely by design.

The Tainted reminds me of those amazing artworks by John Howe and Alan Lee. So I decided to give him a little diorama base as a homage to their paintings.

The hiding Hobit is of course not Merry (well it is a Miniature of him, but painted to be just a random Hobbit who had an unfortunate encounter) because as we know from the book, Merry was not with the other Hobbits when they were hiding from the Wraiths.

Is that an Isildur in your Shade? And I guess it's an Elendil on the right side?
Do you have some more pictures please? =)

And that base really completes the Tainted. Keep up the good work!

Great painting as always!
I agree about the design. Especially the mounted version is ace, I think. If the horse wouldn't have any barding, he would be precisely my imagination from the book. :) Anyway, you've really done him justice!

Thanks guys!

@Baardeend: Yes it's an Isildur and Elendil. I can make more pictures later if you want.

I wrote up a short summary of my last years hobby activities in my other thread: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=32005&start=20

and I have a few pictures of my latest addition to the army:

Very nice conversion! 8) (And congrats on the placings in the tournaments.) Is that the Wild warg chieftain model or a different one? Also, who does this model represent?

Thanks!

The Warg is Gothmogs. And the base for the bodies is Grishnak.

It's the leader for a Wargrider force I will be adding do my Angmar army. I got more then twenty metal ones waiting for excessive conversions.
