(Not sure if this is where I should be posting this article, first post ever!)
I've been collecting The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle miniatures since 2001, on and off. Back in 2009 I decided to restart the forges of Mordor and start are rebuild, I had back then, no more than 50 troops..... 24 Mordor orcs, 6 wargs riders, a Orc commander and standard some Easterlings and the Dark Lord himself

After a few years I did my first big display, which numbered around 350 troops, the next was around 600 troops. In 2013-4 I did my first major display, which was around 950-1,000 troops. Then it went up to 1,280! I mainly brought job lots of Mordor orcs and Haradrim off eBay. I also brought a couple of trolls each month for a year, I only 3 18months ago, now I have 22 Mordor trolls! I've always found Easterlings a pain to get in bulk..... people don't like to part with them I guess.....
Back in July 2015 I did a major set up and display, (please see photos), I needed a fold out table ha! This Mordor and Allied army numbers around 1,800 troops. Around 1,200 Mordor orcs, 250 Easterlings, 300 Haradrim, with other troops and commanders filling the battle lines. I was very happy, but it's by no means a finished army, my painting will be getting started this year!
If I did another display soon, which will happen hopefully
, my army would number around 2,250 troops. I've been meaning to join this site for a while, I'm glad I did, I love the Hobby and the people, It's another way I can enjoy the wonders of Middle-Earth! Thank you!
