So I was watching Botfa the other day and thought to myself, I wish Gw made a model for his post charge out of Erebor scene/ Final Battle with Azog. While the King under the Mountain Variety is nice, I prefer his other appearance.

So has anyone from the community attempted this? Or has any thoughts on how to make one close to this? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I've not tried, but have you considered Young Thorin, from the Moria flashback battle? It's not a perfect match, but it's a decent start.

I have made one, he was quite simple, just chain mail and a coat!

I think the best bet might be the EFGT Thorin with some GS work. Shave down the lower tunic and sculpt on some chainmail at the front, possibly extend the coat over that at the back/sides. A suitable paint scheme would then complete the look.
