Nice little touch, it's always the attention to detail that wins the day.

Love your work, very inspiring particularly as I have just spent £150 on harad models. Would love to see a tutorial for painting haradrim horses, in fact I would be eternally grateful!

Cheers,
VG

Thanks VG, really happy they inspire you to paint yours :)
I'm not sure I'm really able to do a tutorial on painting these horses just yet though.
As these are the first ever horses I've painted, I've pretty much been making things up as I go.
I do have another 6 raiders to do after these, but I'm thinking I might have a bit of a change next and do some other troops from my army.

Please do feel free to ask about anything I've done so far and if I can help in any way I'll certainly do my best.

The eyes have it!!
In the vain hope I may get better if I stick at it, I'm continuing to try to paint eyes.
Now if I could just get them level and looking the same way it would be a start

Paint them first, before the skin. And do the pupil first then the whites.

Thanks Gene
I already paint them first and then paint in the skin around them, but I've not tried doing the pupil before the whites. I'll have to give that a go, thanks

Thanks John... I do prefer minis with painted eyes, so I figure it's always worth giving it a go

Lovely work in this thread and great eyes on that last one! The more you do it, the easier it gets :)

Nice detail in the face, it always sets the figure off well if you can get that done well.

Thanks Bandobras... I'm sticking with it, even if it kills me

I was told when I started painting, "it's all about faces and bases... get them right and you're laughing"

So, that's what I'm trying to do :)

They look fantastic. The eyes look just fine too, always worth the effort for sure.

Fantastic work. :yay: :yay: You have really captured the character of these models. And your work on the eyes is excellent (along with all the other components!).

Just glorious. Wonderful work all round, from the colour choices on the Haradrim to the horses and even the bases, it actually looks like a diorama.
