Great gribbly Gundabads! These guys look nice as a group, and the basing/movement trays look good too. I'm looking forward to getting some of these guys as well, but I've got too many other irons in the fire for now.

Were these models fairly easy to work with and paint?

@gandalf
I didn't use anything fancy like photoshop. I use what I have. After cropping and sizing the photo's in Microsoft Office picture manager. I made all the pictures either 300 pix wide or 600 pix wide, accept the group shot I made 1200 pix wide. Then I opened the photo's one at a time in Paint, then select all and cut. then open the file you are placing the collage and paste there, you will be able to move the new paste picture around to where you want it. You have to expand the paint window each time to acomidate the next picture you are going to place in, since I know what size I need for 4 across I just made the window 1200 pix x 3000 or so.
Once I had all the photo's placed in there, I opened the file in picture manager again and resized the width of the whole thing for internet view (600 pix wide). It sounds more complicated than it is, but I have all this software on my laptop so I don't have to buy some enhanced photo program that I will only use a small percentage of.

@Erunion
These models were very easy to work with. I used a jewlers saw, but finecast cuts easy and can be trimmed easy. The painting was very easy, mostly plates.

Thanks for all the support everyone. I plan to sculpt a banner bearer for this. since it is all armor and a face covering helm it should be forgiving to my skill level.

So I pushed out a couple models. I think I did an ok job with them. Made some Mushrooms with piece of sprue that I sanded and pinned. Many more hunters to go now, and as always, conversions. I hope I can turn 2015 up a notch over last year.

You've started the year well. Nice use of red to create the shading, especially to the face.
Creative mushrooms by the way.

Lovely job on these and the basing really fits in to where we see them in the films.

I think your right on the skin, unless it's the photo he could do with some more contrast

Yeah, You are right Gandalf the Grey. The camera and lighting did exaggerate the white a bit, but it also was a bit too light which made my shadows not deep enough or contrasting with it. I did some work to fix it, but was fiddling too much. Decided to start over completely and am now working on the skin from scratch. Using Balor Brown as the base for the skin working to a ivory white (my warm colors) and am using Turquois, brown and black glazed in the shadows and as trace lines for veins (my cool color). I hope it works out, it wasn't bad before, but I want it better if I can manage it. Thanks. wish me luck.

I'm painting Bolg right now too. Try watering down dark flesh (doombull brown) as a shade. Funny model this one for sure.

This is where I am now.

I have figured out that, I finished Gundabads, before that it was hunter orcs on warg, before that, goblin town, then going back its easterlings, Mordor orcs, Moria goblins, Trolls.... see a trend? So I think that to get a creative kick in the butt, I have decided that I will put the rest of the hunters aside for this year. I have more that a years worth of painting in dwarven armies, going way back into LOTR days to paint. So I will be painting Dwarves for a while, getting some good models and heroes on my tables. can't wait. So bolg will be the last evil model I will let myself do until I start cranking out some dwarves. 8)

Didn't get any feedback this time, so for better or worse this is what my effort has produced.

I love your Bolg, Hunter Orcs and Gundabad Orcs. May I ask, where did you get the chain from that you used on the Witch-king? Could do with some of that myself.

Craft store. Micheals, necklace area.

Thanks for the comments. This was not an easy model to work on. Need a break from orcs for sure. :o
