Thanks Dorthonion. You just reminded me, I need to upload some pictures of my orc warbands. And my scouts. I'll try get them up tonight. My girlfriend has a new photography light that I've been itching to try out.

An unusual choice of beard colour. I must admit I can't decide on it. I was expecting ginger.
The rest is excellent as ever.

You're right mate. The beard does look a bit off. Too much blue I think. Didn't look so bad IRL as it did in the photo but I've toned it down a bit with browns and oranges. It could do with a bit more sharp highlighting.

Nearly finished I think. I might add some glazes to the body to add a bit of realism and break up the wall of boring flesh. Also, the knuckles could do with some sharper highlights. I might add some grazes to them to tell a bit of story.

Image
My girlfriend took this photo using her daylight lamp which she uses for baby portraits. It looks OK I think but I prefer daylight as the pictures seem slightly sharper.

It's looking great Han. The beard looks a lot better and a sharper highlight will do the trick. I agree with the thought about the knuckles and a fees grazes will fit in with the cuts about his body. How about some bruising ?
I was looking at the area at the top of his stomach below his chest. I was thinking the OSL doesn't quite work, do you think this area needs to be lighter, blending darker as the light heads down the stomach ?
The base is looking great and I like the photography.

Smooth painting. You've really brought the sculpt to life. Agree on the knuckles - too much fairy liquid at the moment.

Awesome work.

Cheers guys. Nearly done, all I have time for today. I took Gandalf's suggestion for the bruising. It breaks up the flesh nicely and adds a bit of colour and story so....Cool.

Some more highlights are definitely needed here and there. The fur on the boot, the knuckles and the two centre fingers below the knuckle could definitely do with a tiny little touch-up.

The biggest difference is the light I took the photo in! Last night's pictures using the lamp look dingy and yellow compared to the crisp clarity of daylight. Much better IMO.

Looking great Han. I agree with the photo, much more clarity than last night.
The bruising has done the trick, breaking up the skin nicely.
When you have completed this can we have some 360 shots to appreciate this from all around.

You see great, they take it up a notch... bruising: I believe that is the first time I have seen that here. Very well done!

Amazing, truely a masterpiece! 8) As mentioned before the bruising is great but the overall look as well! My only criticism would be the stone axe. On the one hand it doesn't fit to dunlendings, on the other hand the stone itself is IMO too "clean" if you get what I mean. IMO it doesn't really look like a stone.

Cheers everyone.
I will do a few different angle shots when I get finished Gandalf.
@SOF. Aww, that's a shame. The stone is the bit I'm happiest with!

I roped my girlfriend into taking some pictures so here are my scout and orc warbands which were finished ages ago:
Image
Image

After I get bored with my Galadhrim I'll crack on with these, the final models I need to complete this force. Anything else I paint up for Isengard is just filler. It feels like it's "done" now:
Image

And a full force shot as it stands now:
Image

I suppose some of those wildmen I was after would look nice.....And some ruffians just to finish it off.....And some more berserkers.....And a troll for symmetry......And Lurtz maybe... :D

They do look good. The skin looks a bit bright to me but that's my only critique

Cheers guys.
Here's my orc banner bearer:
Image
I gave him a faction neutral banner rather than a white hand so I can use him for a Mordor army I have in the pipeline. That and leering generic orc face banners were on offer at Orcs 'R' Us.
Also, my berserkers arrived from Ebay today so that's everything I need to finish this force.

It must have been a talented orc who painted that banner! Lovely freehand. :yay:

Think I'm going to add some orcish words to the banner actually. It looks a bit empty at the minute.
