So glad they didn't release this model. It doesn't fit the army, doesn't fit LOTR, and I would vote it worst model in the line had it been released (after I bought one of course). I don't see any reason to own it as an un released model that is for sure, not even at regular price, I would just treat it as a Reaper model. If it is not a released LOTR model, it isn't a LOTR model. :)

I just think there are already a lot of great ladies holding staff weapons in the model industry. GW has a few witch elves that throw a dress on and they would look regal as well. And Reaper has many also. So to me it is not an ugly model, it just is not dynamic nor is it impressive In the fantasy model arena where many a female model is churned out. Had they been chasing a likeness of some kind, then I would give it a nod. Since they could envision almost anything they want, plus had an army designed already that she was to fit into, I think they could have done better. They also could have just released the model. No model, not even a super model, is worth $800 US in this economy. Even if you have money to throw away, throw it at fixing DMS car instead, or to track down DMS dad to help with the car, that would be better suited for the money then a model. IMO.
I think I am getting bitter old man syndrome though. I use to walk into conventions and spend about $800 on Star Wars Toys and fill my car and go home. Now I have sold some of my collection, don't really look at it or care about it anymore. And I prize time with my daughter over stuff like that now. So perhaps that is why I think like that. I even have days now that I don't want my LOTR models. oh well.

I think the war form Galadriel makes a better Beruthiel than the unreleased one actually. You are right, it is a worse sculpt than the hideous old Thranduil and the rather Warhammery Castellans.

Love the art and the miniature which seems to be against popular opinion.

I too like the model. I agree it doesn't entirely fit the army she's in but it fits the concept art quite well, And I'm a fan of her being a bit more realistic in proportions. Not a fan of minis more on the scale of the classic Barbie doll, Just looks stupid on the table-top
