Well done. You and Celevue have restored some of my enthusiasm for the game.
Very nice blog>

Thank you! I Must admit I too always find well painted figures with good terrain very inspiring, and concur, Celevue's campaign thread is indeed very impressive, and that I hope to follow it and be be further inspired myself to try and make better terrain...

... I have recently come to the conclusion I have had too many divergent interests in other periods and games for too long, and that's just delaying me getting on with my one true love; LOTR... so most of the rest is going on ebay/trademe etc, and I will be focusing on LOTR from now with the aim to continue through all journey book scenarios in order (if possible)... and all other supplements too... I guess it will become my hobby-lifetime's work... and now my son has come of age to truly enjoy it, its all the better for both of us together...

And besides if I am working towards the ultimate battle, this seemed a rather appropriate meme... ;-)

Wow great work as always, and I'm glad your enjoying it.

What models are you selling now that your only going to focus on Lord of the Rings?

Hope you make speedy work on all the figures needed for the next segment of the journey!

Love your meme - although for me, a more appropriate one would be "stop painting" rather than buying, as I believe I have most of the stuff for Pelennor already acquired. But painting all those Mordor and Fallen Realms troops, as well as Gondor & Fiefdoms is gonna take a while! In any case, happy to see more campaign threads in OR, and happy to be an inspiration. With the rate you are going, our Fellowships might meet in Moria. Looking forward to reading your batreps!

Many thanks... there's a ton of stuff going to go;

an 'Oldhammer' Dwarf army from the late 80s
A bunch of Orks & Squats for 40k, both 'oldhammer'
A pile of old plastic odds and sods - mostly 40k bits...
Probably my collection of WAB books and supplements, which I cant see myself using again... probably my collection of Warmaster magazines... Flames of War bits and pieces...
If I am feeling particularly ruthless, I may look to sell off my well painted more recent stuff:
Ancient germanic army that was done for WAB and likewise Medieval army... Necromunda Orlock Gang... maybe a couple of Naps Brit units and an ACW Reb one? The later stuff would free up space in my display cabinets for the growing LOTR painted stuff...

LOL yep thats a very good point!

The race to Moria could indeed be interesting!
I have got a Balins Tomb terrain piece I did sometime ago, but wonder now if its too small? ... there are several versions of this mission available...
Big job after that will be building the Dwarrowdelf... Trying to decide whether to do it sectional for ease of storage/multi-use, or just make as one piece... Going to have to think that through carefully...

Thanks for following, I'll be watching yours closely too :-)

Next mission is Flight to the Ford, which I am busy putting finishing touches to models and terrain for... after that is Hounds of Sauron, then The Watcher...

Stay tuned!

Excellent right up, no need to apologize.

Definitely a game that came down to the closing minutes and turns for sure looking forward to the start of the fellowship scenarios!
