Ste challenges my all mounted Rohan list with an Aragorn led Arnor force at 500 points...

One thing I did notice. When Ste called a heroic march, he didn't move halbarad first and he also moved warriors which looked well out of 6'' of Halbarad. Might be the camera angle but it certainly looked 'dodgy'.

Has he actually lost with this army? against anyone... and yes great battle report , i think i could tell from deployment he was going to win , dont know why just had a hunch. Ste what do you think of the whole deployment or would you prefer the old school start at 6inch from borders edge and move into middle. That Arnor banner bearer looked very cool in middle of those ruins. One final thing : the "Amon Sul" piece in middle... made by hirst art blocks yeah?

Yeah really bad decision on my behalf putting Aragorns WB in the centre ruins but you learn from your mistakes.

I dont mind mixing it up a little with the deployment, I wouldnt want to do it all the time as for realisms sake some battles would be fought in an actuial face off from time to time with the forces laid out in formations, but..... it is good in other ways as it makes you have to think on your feet and use different tactics that what you maybe would have originally.

Yes pal Hirst blocks. Really nice and easy to work with.

Great job, really entertaining batrep. I liked the use of showing sped up footage rather than just jump cuts.

Great looking terrain pieces there too. Definitely need to pick up some hirst art molds.

James, any quick thoughts on the Outriders? They haven’t been doing much throughout these uploaded BatReps thus far and I’m wondering if they are worth purchasing. What an expensive blister pack!

I don’t think you've had a chance to actually utilize their vanguard rule just yet but it seems like their better shooting value isn't making much of an impact anyways.

Steve, are you usually a WotR player? As this is exactly the same mistake I made with ruins when I made the transition between WotR and SBG, they are good to hold in WotR - but not so in SBG.
You mentioned aragorn was too expensive, arathorn is good as are the other heroes in arnor, and for 500 points you could have scrapped 3 warbands of warriors who would have easily swamped the Rohan army... And all with fv4.

I love arnor and have used them numerous times - but never against Rohan!

Deployment is key and the old adage "divide and conquer" is very fitting here, oh well live and learn.

Hi pal, ye Iv played WOTR but if am honest it was just a bad call really, was thinking Aragorn was a big enough carrot to get some combats with my general involved but then lost sight of what I wanted and hid him away......

Sussex, I play regularly against Southerndunedian, Craig and muppetslayer at East Grinstead club...
...I just haven't ventured into tournys yet!

I went down to East Grinstead at the start of the season for a 300/400pt tournament and managed the win.

You should definitely get involved the community is great and East Grinstead host some brilliant events.
