Why can't the sun shine when I've finished my entry?!? All I have now are some crappy pictures under a single desk lamp...

Here's the proof, in any case:

I’ve nearly finished Fili (just need to finish basing him) and I’m making progress on Kili so I might still have time to enter both Fili & Kili.

Bit of a late entry, just did this pair tonight. Won't have time this week to do something more interesting.

Here's my finished job - not as good as others. Taking a decent picture can be a real pain, tried it on paper with a light behind etc but it just makes it look as though the chainmail is flooded with silver paint which isn't the case.

Oh well, I'm pretty happy with him, still haven't nutted down a paint scheme for my dwarves but that can wait.

If you're having trouble taking a decent picture under lighting, you could try just taking it in natural daylight. If you can do it in a nice open space with the light coming from everywhere (not just from one side), it'll look much better... outside on a nice day would be ideal, but inside a room with multiple windows on a bright day should work too :)

Wow, some really stunning entries already, well done everyone, this is going to be a really hard one to judge - looks like this is going to have the highest number of painting challenge contestants in ages!

I'd hoped to get 6 of the company done and pick my best three but alas time ran out and I only managed to get Dwalin and Gloin finished

Good luck all!

Wow, this is the exact same paint scheme as how I painted that Captain too! I used to have an article of painting the command on the old TLA, have you seen this perhaps? It would be cool to see some work inspired by me. :)

Anyway, all entries are very well done! Some of them are exceptionally well, or so I think. It seems to be a trend here at One Ring, there are so many good and great painters here! Also, I can tell that some people of whom I've seen more work, are still improving.
Well done all! :yay:

Hi Barks your painting is very good but the picture is very bright.
You might have to think about re-shooting :)

@Feanor - I porbably did see it, but not recently. I was thinking of doing my warriors blue so just wanted to test out the scheme for captains. Still not sure about what to do for the dwarf lords (Balin and Dain).
