The heroes in my LOTR Isengard force and incidentally my first Finecast minatures. I never used to like Finecast as it was riddled with defects but these and the others I saw at the weekend were excellent so I bought them.

Welcome to the One Ring - fantastic work on Saruman and Grima. Grima's skin tone is excellent. Sarumans white robes are also especially good.

Thanks guys. They are really nice figures to paint. The rest of my army isn't really worthy of an upload though. Just tabletop quality stuff.

Brilliant painting! The skin tone on Grima is perfection! And the shading on Saruman's cloak is first class. Well done. :yay: :yay: Almost makes me want to buy my first finecast miniature. Please post more of your stuff!

These look fantastic! Great paint job on a couple of the toughiest minis. I'm starting to become a fan of finecast at least detail level. I still like the heft of the metal, and of course we have those question mark about longevity, but they have definitely started working out the growing pains.

Thanks for teh welcome everyone. I'll upload some more stuff when I paint heroes for my Lothlorien forces because the rank and file stuff is just basic and not worth uploading.
Yeah Finecast is a lot better quality wise. I made avow never to buy it after getting 2 Devlan Mud sculpts in a row but those problems seem to be ironed out. It's a shame the miniatures are as brittle as a cornflake.

saruman and Grima are the only uploaded LOTR minatures so far though. the rest is random Warhammer stuff.

This is my Isengard force so far.
Image
It's been painted to a basic standard for the most part with a simple basecoat/wash/highlight formula throughout. The only miniatures with a bit of attention are the heroes. I only have three warg riders and Vrasku to complete (I've yet to buy Vrasku) and it's taken me less than three weeks with a few hours a week to complete so all in all I'm very happy with it. Usually I take ages over every single miniature and rarely end up completing anything ( I finished a skaven army off in this way but it took me the best part of a year).
I'll be starting an Elven force soon for my girlfriend to play with against me.
Thanks for looking.

If that's tabletop quality, I'd best put away my brush! Really good, especially the Uruk Shields & Swordsmen are very good (and the Troll)

@Bartelomeous
Thanks mate.
@ The Buckland Brewer.
It's just nice having a fully painted force to play with in such a short space of time. I never play with unpainted minis. Once they are all on the table together with the nice board and scenery the simplicity of the paintjob is less noticeable. I checked your CMON gallery BTW. very impressive stuff. Especially like the Tom Bombadil diorama. Those water effects really bring it to life.
