PoW - First things first........ Your troll is the best troll i have seen to date, he looks straight out of a photograph and the base is 100% pure quailty, the grass tufts do add a little somethng extra to the base. Outstanding paint work.

Frodo looks great to - I think you did a great job with the OSL even better when you attempted it the hard way round by completeing the miniature and then adding the OSL to the finished miniature, to those of us who have tried this method and effect it is all the more appreciative at how well you have done with this model. Well done mate you are living up to your name as being one of the very best on the site - One to be afraid of in the painting challenges!!!!

And finally - I have scrutinised your Dwark warrior extremely closely looking for something that I can give you some constructive criticism and well ....................I can't find anything mate. The paint job is fantastic, painted with an extremely difficult technique to pull off and make look authentic. My friend you have achieved both here. The shield and axe head are that good that it takes 5 minutes at staring at them before you even start to look a the paint job on the reast of the model. Really well done sir !!!!!!! I think you have crossed a line with this miniature from being a really great painter to being an absolutely 100% flawless painter, it really is that good! Paint more of these guys and do an article on how you did the axe/shield it woul be beneficial to all.

Fantastic mate - Well done :yay:

 Wow, thanks. I actually didn't know there was a different way to paint osl, I figured this was the only way. I'll have to have a go at the other method sometime, it sounds like it would be a bit easier. I am pretty happy with how it turned out, but I'm not expecting to win this challenge, it would be cool if I did though.

I'm glad you like the dwarf, I wouldn't call it %100 flawless, but I tried to get it as close to that as possible. I'll definitely try to make on article on how I did it, but that will probably take me a long time to do, I'll try and do it as soon as I can though.

I'm also glad you think I'm one of the best painters on this site, I've tried hard to be the best I can, and I hope to get even better the more I paint. Your work has been very inspirational to me, especially in the painting challenges. Thanks!

In other news, I ordered some elves and I hope to be getting them either today or tomorrow, and I'll most likely be working on them next.

Thanks for all the comments, I'll try and post an update soon.

To echo what dms said I think your the dwarf is excellent. The metallic shine, which is so hard to do, is fantastic.

Great work once again POW - the Dwarf is especially fantastic, as is the OSL on Frodo, you've convinced me to have a go at it myself at some point 8) :yay: :)

Thanks! @RedSquad, for the rust, after I painted the armor I washed the parts that I wanted to have rust on it with Gryphonne Sepia. This just kind of helps show how the rust will look. Then I painted Bestial Brown over the wash, followed by Vermin Brown. I can't remember but I think I washed it again with Gryphonne Sepia afterwards.
@samoht, yeah, that's one of the pictures that I'll be posting soon.

Hope you guys like it(if that's possible with all that blood), and I hope I don't make any of you sick. Please leave a comment, I really appreciate them.

A fine mess he's made of that poor old guy!!! Its really well done to make that much blood and gore look authentic and believable. A good painting effort all round which is being reflected in your votes for the challenge. Well done POW.

I think it was, the top half is, but I'm not too sure about the bottom half.

I'm currently working on some high elves, and they are really fun to paint. The eyes are super hard to paint though, I about went crazy trying to paint them. I'll post pics when I can.

Thanks! I know what y'all mean when you say it's gross and stuff, it made me feel sick when I finished. It was either that or the caffeine pumped energy drink I had, or a combination of the two. Whatever it was I didn't feel good.

Anyway, the elves are coming along nicely, I still haven't taken pics yet but I hope to soon. I also hope to enter this months challenge with some kataphrakts and Khamul, but I'm not sure yet because I need some more red and gold and I don't know when I can get them. We'll see.
