Aye, but 1. I was not advacating all allies need be undercosted, that statement referred mostly to WoMT.

and 2. KoMT are the Good equivelent of Morgul Knights making them pretty decent, so long as you don't bother with shields, and Faramir is the Good equivelent of Durburz, as he is also a 4 Might ES Hero that is too cheap. THough WoMT being Morannon Orcs are better of course.

I hadn't realised KOMT and Faramir were so undercosted, I don't have the models for either of them so was speaking hypothetical when I talked about taking them. I'm kind of glad Faramir is overcosted he was always the better son in both the books and in the film and never really got the recognition he deserved in either the book or in GW games

I hope you mean the film, not the book?

They aren't massively undercosted, Faramir may be worth about 120pts, but there are much worse heroes eg Gothmog, about 175pts IMO. And the Knights are roughly correct if you follow an assumed baseline, both they and Morgul Knights sit in there 'good deal, worth their pts but not overpowered (contrary o the opinons of some)' camp.

And Telchar is right about book/film Faramir, they are rather different people.

On Faramir, yes, the book and movies are very, very different- "How shall I deal with the Ring," anyone?

Don't worry.

I really have to restrain myself from a rant about how they demolished Faramir in the movie.

Normally, I am like that, but for some reason I don't mind the weirdly change film Faramir. Don't ask.

actually in the extended edition of the film he comes across much better, apparently they changed his character in the the film so he would be an obstacle to Frodo and Sam which would and some suspense to the story and in Peter Jacksons words allow Faramir 'to go on a journey' which helps people who have never read the books to connect with him easier. for some reason people connect with slightly flawed people (taking the ring to Gondor rather than letting them go straight away) than perfectly people, I think it was a nice touch giving him Sams lines about the Harad solider though
