I really like the miniature but the thing that struck me just recently is that Gimli is missing his Double-edged axe. Great work though, Werner. 8)

According to "Middle Earth: Weapons and Warfare" he only picks that up after the Balin's Tomb fight (presumably he spots it lying around, recognises it (it's a Dwarf relic) and takes it).

The mini is very nice indeed, BTW.

Funny fact, this Gimli is one of my first paintings ever. At that time I didn't have to many paints, so I used acrilyc paints, especially for the red. This is a pretty disgusting painting, but other way I was a beginner.
