I'll give it to you Telchar since you've been so close twice in a row. The answer I was looking for was Eradan, Herion, Belegorn, Hurin I, Turin I, Hador, Barahir, Dior, Denethor I, Boromir, Cirion, Hallas, Hurin II, Belecthor I, Orodreth, Ecthelion I, Egalmoth, Beren, Beregond, Belecthor II, Thorondir, Turin II, Ecthelion II, Denethor II and Faramir. Mardil was the last Steward who used an High Elven name while Faramir, though not a Ruling Steward, was a Steward who did not use a High Elven name.

Your turn, Telchar.

Thanks. I assumed the second Mardil was not Mardil Voronwë, since Voronwë is mentioned as an ordinary Steward, while the second one is a Ruling Steward. Stupid of me to have forgotten Faramir. (why isn't there a "goes and slaps himself on the head" smiley?)

Name the father, grandfather and great-grandfather of Ar-Pharazon, the Last King of Numenor. If any are Kings, give the title they took upon assuming the throne.

Ps. Who agrees that Numenorean names are awesome? serious question, I love them.

That was not entirely what I was looking for. By the regal titles I meant in the ones in Adunaic, but I'll give it to you anyway.

Thanks Telchar!

What does Emyn Beraid mean? Where is it? What was the name of the king who built towers upon them?

How many kingdoms did Arnor splinter into? How long did each last after the splintering?

Arnor splintered into Arthedain, Rhudaur and Cardolan in 861. Rhudaur was occupied 548 years after the split though it was already in secret alliance with Angmar about 53 years prior. Cardolan's last prince died the same year Rhudaur was occupied but it survived until the reign of Argeleb II which was at least 809 years after the splintering of Arnor. Finally Arthedain was finally vanquished in 1975, about 1,114 years after the splintering of Arnor.

How many battles for the Fords of the Isen took place during the War of the Ring and which side won each battle?

2. The first was "won" by the Rohirrim, but they sustained very heavy losses, including the King's son, Theodred. The second was a complete rout on the side of Rohan, with the Uruks surprising the Rohirrim, scattering them before any real fight.

I beg to differ :) . The Rohirrim put up a good fight in 2nd Fords of Isen, forming a shieldwall that stopped even the fiercest Isengard assaults, until they used a ruse to escape into the dark.

PS: I don't contest your right to go, you still answered the question correctly, I just don't agree with the extra info you gave :) .
