Excellent Bilbo, especially the eyes and face.

Finally another entry, was getting a little lonely for this month's challenge. You know I thought of doing a Santa Denethor, but I didn't want to waste a perfectly good model.

Bilbo you always excel at faces and dark colour schemes, another excellent job.

Thanks guys! :)
I'm a little unhappy with how the eye color looks...really bright for some reason. I used Enchanted Blue for the color and in real life it looks darker, but in the photo it looks like it is almost glowing. :?

Chris I am really looking forward to seeing how this sculpt turns out!

I did a Santa Denethor in 2007 for a Christmas Competition in my local GW:

[quote="BilboOfTheWhiteTower"]I used Enchanted Blue for the color and in real life it looks darker, but in the photo it looks like it is almost glowing.quote]
I know, my Dragon is a bit more muted to the naked eye by all the white dry brushing I've done, but the photo still shows the colours popping out. Don't know if there's a setting on my camera to change the colour levels on it. In the end I paint for myself, like anyone else I presume, and not to make it adaptable for a photograph.

@Red Corsairs, Well deserving of first place and would probably get 1st place here if it was an entry just for the theme alone; A SANTA DENETHOR! What would have been even more hilarious is if he was on Gandalf's cart with bags of presents in the back and you have custom/converted reindeers pulling.
So is this a case of great minds thinking alike or just a common obvious idea?

Looks good Chris, keep up the good work.

Great minds think alike indeed you just *spoiled my sculpt Sacrilege. I'm doing a holiday scene where I've converted Gandalf's cart to a sleigh have a frodo-elf loading the bag into the back and Gandalf as Santa. I'm using the horse but added a sculpted antlier headband to him to keep it kitsche. Proof photo for next week. Just don't want to look like I stole the idea.
