Yup, your go Meneldil. Interesting how Huan was so powerful that Sauron thought that by killing him, Morgoth would reward him big time, and also that Morgoth created Carcharoth (which sapped a good deal of Morgoths strength) just to kill Huan.

What "A" is described as being located to the south of Dor Lómin but separated from it by the Iron Mountains?

Annon-in-Gelydh, the Gate of the Noldor? The Iron Mountains were mostly destroyed during the War of Wrath, leaving only the Iron Hills, later populated with Dwarves, in the east of Middle-Earth. Dor-Lomin and the Iron Mountains were never near each other. That was the only "A" that I could think of that would apply to this.

I think you should either give us all a free copy of the book of Lost Tales :rofl:

or think of another question. The Thains Book (which knows everything about LOTR) doesn't have any referece to it, anywhere, and The Encyclopedia of Arda doesn't say what its called either :sad:

The Thains book has quite a few things missing that I can see mostly from Silmarillion and Book of Lost Tales but anyway as your all struggling with it that much the answer is
Arlisgion or The Place of Reeds. A pretty difficult question as it comes from a book pieced together from Tolkiens notes....

Ok next question........

What "M" was a name for Númenor AFTER its destruction, used among the exiles of that land in Middle-earth? The answer to this one is NOT in the Thains book either lol

Bonus point if you can tell me what it means....

It's name was Mar-nu-Falmar and it meant "Home under the Waves"
