I am working on a Osgilliath now. Well I basicly just make an Corsairs attack at Osgilliath, well a part of it of course.
There will be 2 Corsairs ships in the water (a big one and a small fishing boat).
There will be just 3 buildings in the city part. A watchtower and 2 other buildings.
I might also add a well to it, but I don't know yet. I think I am now like 1/3 done or so.

This is my progres so far:

(7-11-11)

Image
The full view ;D

Image
Better view on dock. Btw. I'll put crates on ugly hole ;D

Image
At this building I'll add another floor.

Image
The Fishing boat (finished)

Image
The big Corsairs Ship

Now, I'll work on the sails of the big corsairs ship, and I am adding another mast at the front of the ship.
Stay tuned, more photo's will be uploaded soon (2 or 3 days?)

(10-11-11)

Image
I still need to make the other 2 sails, but they will be on the ship soon (already working on the middle sail)

Image
Here is a closer view on the ship.

Just realized that you've sorted your picture problem, so ignore my PM. This is a very promising diorama you have here, looks great so far. You've certainly captured the Osgiliath look so far. The cardboard bricks really bring some depth to the board - if you get board enough like I did I used wallpaper with a coat of sand to speed things up a little. (I had quite a large area to cover) I'm quite a fan of your pillars there, how'd you get them done? Those Corsair ships look fantastic - could just see the 'sea-rats' disembarking the ship and charging over at the scattered garrison of Gondor warriors. Makes me want to finish my Osgiliath board now! Looks forward to more of your work to come. 8)

I like the hole. It looks like a catapult shot went through the flooring there. :-D

What did you use for the water? Was it just painted on?

I might keep the hole indeed xD
the water isn't done yet lol, i just sprayed the water part so i can better paint water on it, after I've painted (realistic) water on it, I'll put water effects on it, but the boats have to be sticked on the base be4 water effects are going to be added.. I don't know how to paint realistic water on it yet, but I'll look at some tutorials or sumthing, that's the end of the process so I don't need to worry yet xD

I didn't like the colour of the small ship, because next to the big ship it almost looked yellow.. So i repainted it in brown (in the colours of the big ship), but it isn't finished yet.. I have to paste the nets and the 2 figures on the boat again. But I will post photo's when the 2 ships are completed ;D

Well.. I wanted to make the difference between good & evil very big. Now the evil army (corsairs) are all kinda dark, and the good army and city is white and clean.
Btw ppl,

I AM TAKING A LITTLE BREAK NOW BUT I WILL PUT NEW PHOTO'S ONLINE IN A COUPLE OF DAYS :K
