Actually, i do not think Maedhros was ever made king; http://www.tuckborough.net/maedhros.html but never mind.

Hmm, I always thought Maedhros has been High King (for a very short time before it passed to Fingolfin). Sorry :oops:

You can't pass something along that isn't yours to give, so Maedhros was given the title for less than a minute, then he gave it to Fingolfin.
