I guessed that, if you're leaving them without a hero then 2-3 comps, if you might put a her in then 3-4 comps. It's better to have more formations of smaller size. If you want you can put one formation right behing the other, this protects the second one well (especially if someone's in it).

Nice idea! Another question hehe, is it worth including any goblin captains, Drummers or Shaman's anywhere?

Goblin Captains can be useful, especially in big formtions. The Drums are ok if used sparingly, maybe one in your biggest formation, or a couple in medium ones, but the Shamans, no no, not unless you invest in allying a Shade, Druzhag is 3 times better and costs the same.

And another! Whhats the best way to play the stone giant? Get him straight away stuck into the action? Or keep him behind your lines and sweep in on phase 2 attack?

I'd keep him behind for the forst turn but maybe heroic move him into the right position for turn 2.

So can anyone use his might? I thought that as the stone Giant has no might he would never be able to call heroic actions. I must be clear on these sorts of things because against the guys I will lose any discussion!

The FAQ confirms that a formation with no might can still use an overlord's might. Check for yourself if you want :)

No I believe you, that's great. So in theory could Druzhag call summon beasts 7 times? By using his own 3 might and also using Durburz's 4 might?

Well it's not as pretty as the Fallen Realms army, but it does look like the MM army could be quite a fun army to play, so after some nice advise there from you I may just have to begin a nice new collection. Any final advise you got for me Gothmog?

In the interests of offering a second opinion,

I like Warg Chieftans and pretty much always include them in my Warg formations. It actually may be that none of my opponents quite realize they are heroes with might that can be dueled since they aren't a "person", I don't know, but I have never had a problem with my chieftains getting dueled.

As for Spiders vs Wargs, I buy Wargs for my list and then use Druzhag to summon spiders. They are both good units (and as has been mentioned, the Chieftain is totally cool looking), each with pros and cons, so I choose to actually pay the points for the cheap ones and summon the expensive ones for free.

I have a hard time including ally Epic Heroes in my lists because none of them feel sufficiently fluffy. If that isn't an issue, then yeah, Thryden and ringwraiths are cost-effective heroes.

plus with Durburz there's his overlord to give it a heroic move to make it even more deadly. A common tactic by powergamers.

You seem to discount a lot of basic tactics and common sense behaviors as powergaming. Just an observation.

Uses for the stone giant. I find the Extremely Hard to Kill monsters are so durable that they can be used in a number of different rolls. I have Heroic Moved him up right away, then he dies quickly but serves as a great distraction and causes some damage on his way out. Keeping him in reserve allows you to avoid the things that can kill him easier and charge in when the enemy can't concentrate on him because of the other things going on, then he can wreck things while your goblins are soaking up the hits that would ahve gone to him. Another use is in the Seize the Prize objective. Because a lone monster can't loose a fight unless it is killed outright, and EHtK monsters are so durable, a Stone Giant can be used to steal objectives from enemy formations. Charge a formation that has some prize counters, trust that the EHtK giant will survive the counter attack, then he wins the combat and steals the prize counters. Then have Durburz overlord a heroic move with him and get out of danger.

Most has already been covered. I would not recommend you to use a Balrog (Dragons are better), I would say when using Druzhad to summon, beasts, make sure you go second and summon them behind youur enemy. Don't ally in wraiths if you don't want your opponant to hate you and ordinary goblins can be defeated but still earn more than their points, cave drakes may b useful in multiples (but I haven't tried). Also if you like the look of Fallen Realms better (who wouldn't), you could always come up qwith some eadterling and harad colour schemes on your gobbos.

Oh and thanks FL for answering too, I was needing your help earlier.

Yeah the Warg Chieftan looks sooo cool, that's why I do like the look of the MM army. All the monsters are there and I like the variety you could use in a game. With the Warg chieftain, what would you use his might on?

You would like Dol Guldor in SBG, that what the model canme out for, and its my favourite SBG army. Might is for heroic actions mainly if FL agrees.
